"A republican governor who was a strong business man just looked at the economics of it, not the humanity side of it"

Hey, I'm all for that type of safety net socialism, I just can't stand the hypocrisy of folks who rant and rave about socialism as if it were some kind of satanism (not that there's anything wrong with satanism), but then as soon as their beloved, remorseless capitalism affects their pocketbook, they start whining like Kansas City faggots...

I agree, the reality of Capitalism is there are going to be winners and losers. Without the losers , it wouldn't work.

What bothers me is the new wave of socialism , like last week I saw someone talking about how utilities should be government owned because no child should live without heat.

Noble sentiment, but socializing the utilities would mean that I'm paying for some rich guys 20K square foot home as well as the poor, along with his vacation home and his condo downtown. And then the idea that the government would invest and keep utilities up to date is just short sighted.

So this idea of socialism as the cure for solving our humanitarian issues just transfers the wealth from the private sector to the public sector and brings everyone down with it.

No one here truly believes that the government would run health care effectively. All they care about is the government would print money to pay for it and they wouldn't have to.

Biden

no cancellation of $50K Student debt
no universal healthcare
no new green deal
sounds like no $2K stimulus

Me and the MIF went to Cozumel last July. It was fun. No cruise ships, very few tourists...

watching a documentary about the Spanish flu, it went away almost in a matter of weeks after its peak - so many people had become infected by it that it burned out due to lack of carriers.
