I'd like to say the Lakers have a lock tonight and the golden child couldn't possibly go down 0-3 but that's not really true. The Nuggest are the best team. Jockitch has his limitations but he is a master of positioning, planning and understanding how to break down defenses, whether he has the ball or not. I hate watching him. That nigga belongs in the European leagues not the NBA, but he is here and we have to deal with it.

At the moment it looks like Calipari went like 0-7 in the transfer portal.

UK is dying on the vine in two areas - NIL guarantees (mostly because the money is tied up in the freshmen class he has , I suspect) and alcohol sales. UK refuses to allow alcohol to the general populace while allowing it in the luxury suites.

The transfer portal is a weird thing to me. Every kid in it wants a better deal than what he got at his previous school but at the same time, ever kid in it isn't good enough to go next level so there is a ceiling - yet they demand serious NIL money and playing time.

While there may be 3-5 kids in the transfer portal that would make a difference in a team, after that I don't think any of them will turn a team into a title contender, but they may very well be the difference in making the NCAA tourney or winning a conference.

Some folks were talking about a Celts/Lakers final, but it's looking like both teams need to sell and rebuild. Lebron at 38 is not going to be alpha on a title team. Neither is Mr Inconsistent AD. Sure they can beat some mediocre teams like Grizz and a flailing Dubs, but they can't put a dent in the Nuggets.
