See, I don't understand the disconnect. Well, I say that rhetorically, of course I understand the disconnect. But this summer you were bellowing "Mow them down!" with scarcely concealed hatred and bloodlust, but now you're saying "I'm not thrilled with an unarmed woman being shot." Your reaction seems so much different b/w one person shot vs. mowing down hundreds...

" I convicted a CodePink activist who smeared her hands with fake blood, charged at then-Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in a House hearing room, and incited the audience to seize the secretary of state physically."

I wonder how he feels about the rioters who were marching around inside the Capitol chanting "Hang Mike Pence"? Is that incitement?

if she or anyone around had weapons, molotov cocktails, whatever then yea. I think I've been pretty consistent.

as I understand it, all they did was break a window, and I still said, thats gonna happen if you screw around with cops

and like the other situations, I doubt that cop is charged. Heck, I don't think they have even mentioned his name in public yet.

I"m sure it is, but what he is saying its going to be hard to pin that on Trump as the start of it.

Actually this is the first time I think you've mentioned anything about being armed as a prerequisite for mowing people down...

Last May it was:

"I live in a world where protesting is peaceful, rioting is not. When you are attacking a police station, breaking windows, setting it on fire - with people inside, you are not a protester. You are not innocent. And yea, I'd be ok with people being mowed down at that point."

Mow them down.

Last week, it's:

"as I understand it, all they did was break a window, and I still said, thats gonna happen if you screw around with cops"

Oh those silly protesters, breaking a window (LOL) and "screwing around" with the cops...

They were trying to get in and not listening to the commands that were repeatedly given to them. There's a very clear video of the whole thing. It's disturbing but the Capitol Police's job is to protect Congress and that's exactly what he did. Not sure why he chose her but 3 minutes before she died, she was screaming in the face of one of the three guards at the door like a rabid hyena. I have to believe that might have played a role in why she was shot.

She hit the ground immediately and they scattered. Didn't even check to see if she was OK.

You won't find out his name. USCP are immune from the FOIA. They are the secret police of Congress, which created and enabled them.

Trump Made the Stupidest Possible Argument on Mike Pence

Donald Trump has chosen to spend the waning days of his presidency alternating between feeble efforts to cancel the election and subjecting his vice-president to a series of torments. The New York Times has new details about the latter, which includes Trump making a final demand that Pence attempt an absurd, illegal maneuver to overturn the election results. “You can either go down in history as a patriot,” Trump said, according to two sources, “or you can go down in history as a pussy.”

The sheer stupidity on display in this exchange is worth contemplating. Trump was insisting on a theory, that had emerged from far-right fever swamps, according to which the vice-president can unilaterally decertify the electoral votes of any state, for any reason he chooses. The theory implies that the Constitution contains a loophole that gives vice-presidents the ability to negate any election result, but that no previous vice-president has bothered to use this tool.

Trump was further supposing that Pence would submit himself to the humiliation of being smacked down by the Republican-controlled Supreme Court. And he believed, most bizarrely of all, that his best way of winning Pence over to this scheme was to call him a “pussy.”

Hey, just a little free speech is all...

Washington Post: FBI warned of violent 'war' at Capitol in internal report issued day before deadly riot

The Post said that last Tuesday, an FBI office in Norfolk, Virginia, issued an "explicit internal warning that extremists were preparing to travel to Washington to commit violence and 'war.'" The report "painted a dire portrait of dangerous plans, including individuals sharing a map of the complex's tunnels, and possible rally points for would-be conspirators to meet up" in several states before heading to Washington.

The report referenced an online thread in which conspirators discussed their plans, quoting individuals as saying: "'Be ready to fight. Congress needs to hear glass breaking, doors being kicked in, and blood from their BLM and Pantifa slave soldiers being spilled. Get violent. Stop calling this a march, or rally, or a protest. Go there ready for war. We get our President or we die. NOTHING else will achieve this goal.'"

I'm betting that Trump's trip to Alamo, Texas was similar to his Four Seasons press conference. He thought he was going to the actual Alamo as a kind of "last stand" gesture, but somebody fucked up and they ended up in the town of Alamo, Texas (population 19,000) instead...

I'm sure that can be arranged for this gent.

What I want to know is what do these people do for a living? I know the BLM rioters are just lazy ne'er do wells looking for free shit but these chaps in Trump gear fancy themselves good, hard-working, salt of the earth people. You know, morons. But still, shouldn't they be at work instead of getting their panties in a wad about concepts they can't even understand.

This whole thing is embarrassing if only because it's become abundantly clear that we are much, much stupider than I though. Stupider is the operative word in America today. As in who can be stupider?

Go to heavy.com and watch the unedited video. There is a huge pile of furniture just inside of the big double doors leading to Congressional offices, part of the makeshift barricade. Capitol cops gave way to the mob, who broke out enough of one door for someone small to slither through. The woman was halfway through the opening when the cop on the other side - who had his Glock drawn and ready - fired. She fell backwards onto the floor. Tactical cops with automatic weapons suddenly appear on the mob-side of the barricade and administer aid to her. THAT part of the Capitol was never breached...

Of course the problem with the first part of my post about looting is that you know that the poor minorities on video jumping in to steal shoes would all get jail sentences while the bearded socialist soy boys all in black and skinny jeans, funded by PACs and already with phone numbers for activist attorneys sharpie’d on their arms who were really the ones who showed up prepared with crow bars and hammers and opened the buildings up all get off scott free
Yes? My only problem with the response to this event really, is the current national delusion that a bunch of morons in costumes posing to get their picture taken and an angry mob (similar to earlier events all around the country like you mentioned) was an “armed insurrection” or “coup attempt” and other ludicrous assertions.

They also really did use tear gas, mace, and shot and killed a chick inside the Capitol so I’m not as convinced that the “racist police let it happen” storyline is all that reflective of what happened either. The police are not prepared to handle these situations and dont handle them properly. They have politicians and appointed officials over them who are generally sympathetic to one side or the other, etc who are worried about optics and not public safety.
