As a Celtics fan, that warmed my heart today, and tonight’s bedshitting pissed me off.
Could be Boston's year this year. Most complete team top to bottom. I don't see Harden putting the 76ers over the top against them in a series, although the Bucks could push them to 7.
Yeah, I get it, but I’m not convinced they can stay focused long enough to pull it off. They have way too many nights where you go “what the fuck is this shit?” for a championship team.

We’re in Gut-Dohnut level of losing. Need proof?

From 00 thru 03, we were 75-57 (including a lucky ass 8 seed run to the Final Four)

From 20 to this point in 23, we’re 76-48 (including a lucky ass 8 seed run to the Final Four)

This is NOT Carolina Basketball!

Marty’s right. He’s seen a lot of Carolina Basketball’ in his time. Sad that both my childhood teams (Reds) Marty also loves are mere championship memories now.

Nance is awful. Has a good head on his shoulders but no game whatsoever to turn it into production on the court. I cringed every time he touched the ball. Duke has better players all in all. They're even worse to be sitting on about the same record. Shame on both teams.

We're really not that bad, we're just not very good. 8 losses, with half of those by 5 points or less. Only one double digit loss (and that was only by 12). A handful of the wins were also by single digits. We are basically an average team, but that's not going to cut it in Chapel Hill. My feeling last year was that we were not good at all, then we got hot and had a magical run, with the cherry on top the wins over Duke under those unique circumstances (K's last home game and FF). Quite a few games in our stretch run last year were dog fights, it's not like we just caught fire and mowed down everybody in our path. Not even close.

Losing in the Finals should haunt UNC fans, you don't get many (most teams don't get any) opportunities like that, up double digits at halftime of the championship game. You just can't let that get away from you. We did, though, but all was forgiven b/c of the wins over Duke and just making it to the Finals in Hubie's first year.

Well, whatever. That same path is our only hope again this year, but we've never had a run like that in our history (maybe in 2000, but that was just a tourny run), it's just very hard for an average team to win a bunch of games in a row against good teams, but that's what it going to take for us this year. Odds are very much against it happening, I really do think this team could rally for a game or two and play with anybody in the country, but not for 10 games in a row...

UNC went 28 minutes without a free throw attempt last night. So there...

Our Program is suffering due to the incestuous hiring practices. Any other department at UNC pulls this shit and they’d be sued and fired (as they should be). Further context?

Carolina hasn’t suffered four consecutive double digit loss seasons since firing Tom Scott (UNC Alum) and replacing him with (GASP!) an outsider in Frank McGuire in the mid 50s. We’re two losses away from hitting that pathetic streak again.

Rat — Switching off how pissed I am at the state of the Carolina Program, I’m interested in your thoughts on your two favorites — Cincinnati and Florida. Any thoughts on Miller and Golden? Do you think either/both can return the schools back to basketball power?

Don't pay that much attention anymore. I usually don't till after football anymore. I've lost interest in college basketball over the years.

Understand. So much has changed the past few years. Still, I give props to both programs for thinking outside the box (or at the very least, outside the “Fambly”).

I saw X went back to the other Miller. It would be fun if both on Cincy were Top 25. X looks solid from my Twitter feed. UC probably needs more work I guess. I have no pulse on the Gators. I know they beat UT. That's always good.
