I still don't know who he was. Must have been something though if he had his service in Staples. Only Michael Jackson had that honor before.

Like an old Bill Hicks act that you wish you paid more attention to

I wish the old Bill Hicks act had been decapitating you on stage. I would have paid avid attention to that...

Did you see the hot lesbo kiss they put right in the middle there? I suspect that was for folks like you.

This is an interesting vid because it begs the question, who is worse Kansas or Gwar? On one hand there's dust in the wind. On the other, using an unborn fetus as birth control and similar topics. hmm. Tough call.

I'm watching the original Live Aid on YouTube. 34 years ago today. I was playing pool, drinking beer and smoking weed with some buds in Wilmington and watching it on TV, then went to the cinema that night and watched Song Remains the Same. A week later with Hedge, saw it (Song Remains the Same) again at the theatre in Havelock, a big Jarhead town, on about 6-7 hits of fine California acid. Then I went to the sandbar partythe next day and ate 10 more hits of acid.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Kentucky, eCat was learning how to take apart and rebuild small gas engines to earn money for his community college tuition.

Now I m sitting here on my couch, bloated like Jimmy Page in 1985 with no beer or weed, and eCat is getting ready to get a hummer from his wife after a hearty Italian dinner.

Dammit...

34 years ago I was 18 working at a Showbiz pizza place, probably saying this over the PA

"ladies and gentlemen, showbiz pizza place and the rockafire explosion would like to wish Timmy a very happy 8th birthday, Timmy , this song if just for you"

then I'd press a button and those damn robotic bears would sing Today is Your Birthday

One time a big black girl named Velma was saying it into the microphone and I threw a wet towel at her that I was cleaning a table with. She screamed mid sentence, cursed me over the PA then chased me around the kitchen. I had to lock myself in the walk-in cooler to keep from getting stabbed with a kitchen knife. She ended up opening the side door where they would put milk in and pepper sprayed my ass.

Thats the day I learned not to fuck with black women....any of them. They go from 0 - crazy in about 12 seconds.

Probably was the most memorable birthday party that kid ever had

"ladies and gentlemen, showbiz pizza place and BAAAAAWWWWWWKKKKK....YOU MOTHERFUCKER HIT ME IN THE FACE WITH THIS MOTHERFUCKIN TOWEL

the only saving grace for those years was I was getting enough pussy to help me forget how shitty everything else was.

Sounds like your summer that year was just as much of a 3 month long acid trip as mine and Stu's was...

Yeah, I feel sorry for kids these days. The symbols of the 21rst century are the cell phone and Twitter (and social media in general). Far better to be fucked up on drugs - any drugs - than to have spent your entire youth typing and reading inanities. At least with drugs you're living it...
