BTW, you know the brawl was XU's fault becuase the Enquirer says it was both teams fault. Had it been Gates who said the shit that Tu said after the game, the Enquirer would have absolutely crucified UC. Had it been Mack that had the press conference Mick had, they would have been nominating him for sainthood instead of just saying he acquited himself well.

The fight was the officials' fault. Both teams were talking shit and getting in each others' grills all night long. The stripes never established control.

Yeah, true. I will say though, that press conference was telling on the quality of kids they have on that team. I was gonna give them the benefit of the doubt until I heard they were seniors. They are too old to talk that juvenile.

Jones was the culprit in this loss...Jones and FTs.

and in honor BRM, here's a true tale from work last night. fighting another sinus infection, I loaded up on dayquil for the evening newsroom shift. the only problem with dayquil is the speed in it gives me the worst gas. finally, I hit the john for a midshift shit, something I rarely do, and it was punctuated frequently with loud, violent anal outbursts. finally after 15-20 min. all the shit was out and i was wiping my ass. but as I bent down to wipe, a pocket of gas was squeezed out and literally blew the tp out of my hand!

definitely a first in my long illustrious history of shitting...

Why Cincy Enquirer writer Paul Daugherty is sooo hateable:

His 12/9/11 "Morning Line": http://cincinnati.com/blogs/daugherty/2 ... ine-129-3/

THANK GOD for Sean Kilpatrick. The run-up to the Shootout has been less than thrilling, until now. Of all the guys to throw down with, Killa picks Tu Holloway. Killa was on the radio with my pal A. Furman yesterday. They had this exchange:

Andy: “Are you better than Tu Holloway?”

Killa: “Yes, I am.”

Andy: “Would Tu Holloway start for UC?”

Killa: “I would say no.”

To be fair, Kilpatrick was also very complimentary of the XU guard. But. . . wow.

A guy some people think can be national player of the year. Couldnt start in Clifton.

We do love this, though. This is up there with T. Nelson guaranteeing the win, with Huggs and Gillen not shaking hands. This is grrrreat stuff. Possibly, Kilpatrick isnt aware of what he has done. He will be at 1230 Saturday at Cintas Center. He has just made the job and the game far more enjoyable for this unwashed hack. Many thanks.

So he praises Furman for essentially pulling the radio host equivalent of the grade school "Bobby, if you fought Timmy, who do you think would win?" "Hey Timmy, Bobby says he could beat you up!"

Now his 12/10/11 commentary on the Shootout: http://news.cincinnati.com/article/2011 ... stating-it

A great rivalry lost its way and its meaning Saturday. It plunged from its lofty and respected perch a bloody, mouthy, embarrassing mess. No Crosstown Shootout was ever this ugly, not even close. The ending was bad enough, you give serious wonder to whether the game should continue.

A regal game, a nationally recognized game, Our Game, ended up on its knees. It looked like Kenny Frease. The Xavier center had taken a punch to his left cheek, after he waded into the center of the riot, seemingly trying to make peace. Frease crawled from the pile on all fours, blood pouring from his face. If he were a boxer, the referee would have been in his gaze, counting eight.

Behind him hell continued to break loose, freely.

We can speculate on who started it, on who threw punches, on why any of it happened. It doesn't matter.

If it were a prizefight, the referee would have awarded the bout to Frease on a disqualification for a sucker punch and for being kicked while on the ground

To Stu: LOL. Thank you I feel honored you remembered me while taking a shit.

To Cincy and Xavier: Really? Really? If the NCAA has any balls, they will suspend every motherfucker involved for the REST of the season. Nip this silly "where we from we don't take that" bullshit right now.

To Kentucky: Long time coming but Fuck Kentucky. Been a long time since I could say that. This was the first time in a few years where I watched a game and became emotionally vested with this team.

To College Basketball: IU is back you sum bitches. This is your official notice. We are the Hoosiers. We are Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect us.

To AA: Absolutely horrible.
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cronin showed Gates the door. The biggest mistake though was X putting those two knuckleheads on the podium.

I watched Xavier after the game. The coach allowed his players to say this

"We got some gangstas back in that locker room"

Its hard to place blame on who escalated what, but watching the video, a Xavier player threw the first punch.
I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

UC has announced its suspensions. 6 games each for Gates, Mbodj, and Ellis. 1 game for Guyn. Let's see what XU does.

BRM: Good game, nice win. Welcome back. We missed you.

Stop the apologetic posturing, Mook. It's as shameful as UC's thuggish behavior.

Six games? I thought that at least Gates would be out of there.

And by the way... nice place you have here. I thought I'd seen the last of TGP when Worldcrossing closed, but googled it after the X vs UC incident cause I just had to see what you guys had to say.
