A German court has ruled that a Muslim doctor should not be granted citizenship after he refused to shake hands with the woman presenting him with his naturalisation certificate.

According to the administrative court of Baden-Württemberg, the Lebanese man had forgone his right to become German because his refusal to shake the bureaucrat’s hand was evidence that he saw her as “posing the threat of sexual seduction.”

The judges explained that obtaining German citizenship was dependent on the applicant being able to demonstrate that he lived according to the values set out in the German constitution, which enshrines sexual equality.

I guess with Covid-19, local tax revenue is down so my local township decided it was time to re-evaluate my home value , even though they did it in 2019.

They raised the value of my home $37K from 2019 to 2020. Everyone on my street saw their home value go up at least $20K according to a website I looked at showing before and after.

Last night was tepid. Trump should've done that the first debate, he would've seemed more presidential, and saved his ranting and raving for last night. He barely even mentioned Hunter, I figured that was all he was going to talk about. Maybe he didn't want to open up the debate into his own kids, but stuff like that has never stopped him before. He'd thrown any one of them under the bus just as fast as he's thrown everybody in his inner circle under the bus as soon as he felt it was to his advantage...

Actually, I should've said "he will throw them under the bus," b/c, well, he will. If he can get a lighter sentence by turning state's evidence against any or all of his kids, he will do it in a second. Probably would suggest it...

Its not really on hold, some people still get verified. They marked some white supremacist (I guess, or accused white supremacist might be better, I have no idea if he was, what was important is that there was an outcry of people that said he was) as verified back in 2017, and the outcry made them shut down the process where you could apply for a checkmark and get approved. That is the "program" that is on hold. However, twitter still gives out blue checks, but how they decide who gets one is a mystery.

For example, the verification program was put "on hold" back in 2017. The Parkland high school shooting happened after that in 2018, but this guy got a blue check sometime after that.
