Most of the time that someone thinks they're having a stroke or a heart attack or some type of malady that nobody has ever heard of but it feels serious, it's really just trapped gas.

Did your insides ever finally spill out through your belly button?

Nope, they're still holding firm. My gut might be swollen but it's hard as a rock. My son found out the hard way when he tried to sucker punch me and hurt his wrist. I wasn't even tightening up either.

It will never be as good as the bootleg, black market, illicit, under the table, outlaw hooch. Mark me.

I have a friend on faculty at Colorado. Meeting him and he's taking me to someplace called "The Farm" - his treat - and I will do a lecture for his class in return.

I am curious to try it. Supposedly, the THC levels are much higher than the last time I smoked (1977).

Yeah, I think you're in for an eye opener (or rather, eye closer) if you haven't smoked since '77...

This is going to be fun to hear about...or it will be a literal snoozer. Try the Taco Bell Snack Wrap thingies while you're at it. I have been intrigued about how they taste.

Taco Bell is adding weed-infused tacos to their menu in Colorado??

I just had a long conversation with someone who has $10m to spend and wants to buy Class C warehouses around the country to house pot distributors. I guess owners of those properties in Denver have done really well and he wants to be ahead of the curve as it gets legalized in different states. Interesting strategy but seems fairly speculative to me.

saw an interview with a CEO that has 4 stores

in that interview she said there was no warehouse space available

Colorado did it right in making them keep records on every plant. I read that in Washington, black market dealers are killing the viability of reputable growers

There's plenty of warehouse space around these parts, but the south is so fucking backwards and stupid we will be waiting until years after the west and northeast has made billions in tax revenue until we grudgingly legalize. Non medical legalization is on the ballot in 2016 in California and I bet it passes. When that happens and they start reporting how much income they're making off taxes, everybody will jump on the bandwagon, but the south will still lag b/c gawd don't want ye smokin' mariwawna...

Here's the thing about legal pot, and I'll admit I don't know the exact wording of the law in either WA or CO, but if you are a smoker (you get high several times a week), why would you ever buy pot from someone else now that it's legal.

For an investment of less than $300 and maintenance costs of less than $100/yr (not including add'l charges on the power bill), you can grow indoors at home and never have to worry about anything. Not only will you gain the pleasure of producing your own green, you can experiment with strains and end up having more than one kind.

Of course, I realize most Americans are either too lazy or stupid to do this on their own but if I had to pay $300 or whatever an oz. costs today, it would be a no-brainer. Of course, you could also grow outdoors but that's only 1 harvest per year, as opposed to perpetual harvest.

But here we are in 2015 and people are buying legal pot at still outrageous prices, not to mention the notion that people are smoking synthetic pot, which is the most absurd thing I've ever heard outside goldie's posts.

The Farm has a daily special. 1/2 oz for $100 (of a variety of their choosing).

One plant in a 5 gallon hydro bucket will produce upwards of a pound of weed every 3 months, and will also look attractive in your house and make it smell good. All for the cost of the electricity, but the satisfaction of doing it yourself will more than make up for that negligible cost...

Americans are lazy. It's easy to brew beer. Few do, though.

Yep.

Legal marijuana in NY will piss off the 420 delivery cats...effectively pushing them out of business. I expect they will go hard on ever-becoming-more-inexpensive heroin distribution, then.
