if the Heels' stance is that they are vacating the 2008 and 2009 seasons....are they also 'vacating' the bowl revenue and TV contract money received during those two years?

typically gutless approach by the UNC 'leadership'.
The Carolina Way....

I'd say it takes a lot of guts to propose a non-punishment punishment to a governing body you just pissed off by sueing.

so butch said the school had had the cell records for months
the school said they never took possession of them (let independent counsel review them instead)
now school says they do have them but won't release them because butch is no longer an employee
the lies just go on and on.... sigh.

even if they did releaset the records, they would be heavily redacted and useless...

supposedly a judge could get the unredacted records straight from the phone company. I'm not holding my breath any more.

there's like three judges and 25 lawyers swimming in the unc cesspool. if you really want to know what's going on I can give you the readers digest version or read the unc board in the acc forum.

Breaking news from WRAL:
Just In: The North Carolina Secretary of State's Office asked a court Wednesday to compel the NCAA to release records of interviews with players and coaches at UNC conducted as part of an investigation into the Tar Heel football program. The Secretary of State is looking into how agents interact with college athletes in North Carolina.

nah, it's just a little over a year old. had unc genuinely cooperated and come clean instead of lying, hiding and obfuscating this would have been over a long time ago. we'll never know how much unc has spent on the coverup/lawyers but I'm sure it's in the millions.

two Tire Bowl wins, actually.
it's the Tar Heels who couldn't manage to win a Tire Bowl....even while cheating.
