Dear Lord at the Noles....

Before you guys go full reverse-voodoo-turbo hex, Bama has games left to play. MissState isn't a great team, but we could get caught napping. Then some decent 1-aa team wanting to do an AppState on our asses, #7 Auburn wanting revenge in their house, and if we beat them, odds are we play a top 10 Mizzou team.

This road is fraught with peril for Bama and it would not surprise me if we tripped along the way.

Auburn I'll give you, just b/c they're better than expected and it is the Iron Bowl. Still not much chance for them. And the slimmest of possibility with Mizzou (single digit percentage). But MissSt? Some "decent" 1aa team? Dear god...

The Mizzou game, if played, it the type of set-up that Saban/Bama whip ass in. Newbie to the SEC, thinking they really might have a chance at the championship. Then they run into a pure-T buzzsaw and wilt before halftime when they realize what playing Bama in a championship game really means...

Too much time, too many games, too many variables before I can worry about Bama (who has not won the west) and Mizzou (who has not won the east) playing in Atlanta.

No sir. The most important game is MissState because it's the next one. It's the only one we should discuss.

I was merely responding to your post that listed all those games...

Even if Bammer loses 1 regular season game they still play in the BCS Championship game.

True, Bammer has 3 games left that it cannot just mail in - but each of those opponents poses as much threat as LSU did. They can fight hard and make it look close early but when the dust settles a 21 point loss is still their likely fate.

As for the other game, it's not a matter of the team 'going App State' as it is Bammer 'going Michigan' which is as likely as Nick Saban 'going Lloyd Carr'.

I think Alabama will bitch slap Auburn - the Tigers will not be able to run on Bama consistently and Marshall isnt ready to win that game thru the air.

I think Missouri (w/ a healthy Franklin) has a decent punchers chance. Maybe as high as 40% chance.

Miss State and 1AA have no shot.

MissState will play us hard. We should win by 18 or so, but on any given Saturday. ..

More worried about injuries. MissState is known for rough play.

I agree.

Wake is the same way in ACC - cut blocks, late hits etc - always glad to get them in rear view w/ no serious injuries.

Probably true. Except Marshall can actually hit receivers, who usually drop the ball.

Our D doesn't match up well against a power running game either.

Not this year unless FSU or anOSU loses. The schedule strength just isn't there this year relative to years past, and anOSU would have a legitimate reason to scream if they win 20-whatever in a row and get bypassed. Voters might still put a 1-loss Bama over Baylor but that remains to be seen.

I disagree!!!!

tOSU has no reason to bitch. They were on probation last year & this year the Big 10 is Horrible.

HORRIBLE !!!!!!

tOSU has no business bitching about being considered for the Championship game. They're just not that good.

An SEC team that goes undefeated and beats 5 ranked opponents doesn't deserve to play in the BCSCG if Oklahoma is also in the running.
