I don't see how that's a push. Being pardoned is a huge reason behind why I believe he'll never go to prison

Well, I think that's kind of a cheap way out, but it would be perfectly appropriate for Trump to beat going to prison like that. There's also the possibility that the republican party actually gets their shit together by then and the next republican president (which is the only one that would even possibly pardon him) won't want to alienate his base at that time. I suspect they aren't thrilled with crowds going after the libertarian Senator simply because he supports Trump while ignoring all he has done for them - which is much more than many of their democratic representatives.
