"now I know why you UNC guys think UK is sandbagging"

We also had every starter from the 2008 team return, including Ty Lawson, Danny Green and Wayne Ellington...

Throw all the $ into a players team pool and split it up evenly. College basketball has lost its charm with all this bullshit.

Caleb Love returning to UNC, as expected. Somebody on IC did an analysis of how UNC has done when we have 75% of our scoring returning, as we will this coming year. It was very encouraging...

Now, it's time to develop depth.

Puff needs to quicken and heighten his release for me to be completely comfortable with him as a shooter / stretch 4.

Washington needs to be a quality backup, and he has the skills but a lack of bulk and history of injuries scare me.

If Styles progresses to the point he can play 10-15 minutes in a regular situation (and I think he can), that will be huge.

With regards tot he backcourt, we have Trimble as a potential backup pg, but I am far from sold on him being able to contribute much. So, Walton and Dunn need to get it together to be able to spell Love/Davis at various points for 5-10 minutes per game. If Walton could get his head case issues figured out, he would be a reliable bench shooter. Dunn was/is always a work in progress, but the kid could turn out to be more than Max Owens Part II. I think he could be an ACC level contributor.

Then, come February, Hubert will do the traditional tightening of the rotation to 7-8 guys, and if the team is healthy, I like their chances against anyone....

Bring it on, mother fuckers.

my guess is he thinks he'll get 5 years at Duke versus 2 years at the most at UK.

its a bad look for UK and Cal. He was considered one of the brightest stars for coaching and he's willing to go with an unknown in Scheyer over Cal

its over for Cal

Does he still have family in Durham? John is from there.

Jai may have family in Durham, but even his Dad got the hell away from dook. I think Cal is done at UK.

I think Cal was done at UK a few years ago.

IIRC, the story goes that Dad didn’t want to go to State or Carolina because he bought into Lefty’s pitch about blazing his own trail and what not.

Nice to hear it put so forcefully and eloquently from a guy who doesn't have a dog in the UNC/Duke rivalry, but has a keen understanding of sports rivalries in general...
