I don't blame him. The show is horrible, and they make him look like a grade a lunatic son of a bitch

Maybe UK will make it to the second round of the tourny next year...

Don't sandbag man. UK has got a handful of 5 star studs coming in next year, odds are that at least a few of them will actually suit up and play before heading to the NBA. That's a recipe for success...

Tomorrow will be the 44th anniversary of what surely was the greatest event that ever took place in Rupp Arena and is ever likely to take place. That's right, the Dead played in Rupp on 4/21/78. Not a bad show, either. They even played one of my favorite songs, Ship of Fools, which surely was intended as an homage to UK fans...

And now teams know how to keep a good player longer than 1 year…pay them more to play college ball than an NBA rookie contract pays…

I can see how NIL could benefit blue blood programs more than others, historical interest is built in with them, so more interest equals more consumers of the marketing dollar, but at the same time, I don't think many kids are going to care if they're getting half a mil playing at Carolina vs. playing anywhere else. But then again, a lot of guys seem to want to play for the Lakers...

I think there are programs that in a couple of years are going to start emerging as dominant college teams. The bluebloods will still do well of course, but it will also be about market.

I have to believe schools like St. Johns and Depaul will be able to put together pretty serious NIL packages just based on location and area commerce. They may have to go all in on one or two guys but still they could really make their own mark.

I also think it has to cause chemistry issues.

Shaedon Sharpe hasn't play a minute for UK - and probably won't - and was given a new 911 from a Lexington dealership. Can you imagine being a 10-5-3 player every night, busting your ass, playing thru injuries and driving your older brothers Toyota Camry while this guy just shows up and is given a Porsche? Maybe you get a $20K NIL deal from a local area chain. but then a guy on your team is getting $2.5M ?

not to mention this has already turned into pay for play. Kid, you won't see that money unless you give us 2 years. Then the next step is incentive. Kid, you take us to the final four and we'll throw in another $500K. Thats not the college basketball I want to watch.
