I find these protests and riots fascinating from a political standpoints since at their core they are anti-local government and yet they also all seem to support all of the local elected politicians already in power.

Video of a crowd of Black Lives Matter protesters angrily hectoring a patron at a Washington, DC restaurant has gone viral, drawing a backlash from both left and right.

Shared by Washington Post reporter Fredrick Kunkle on Tuesday, the footage shows a crowd of black-clad demonstrators shouting “white silence is violence” and raising their fists in an affluent DC neighbourhood, then descending on a white woman seated at an outdoor table.

Having declined to raise her fist along with them, the woman remains impassive as protesters scream into her face. One of them demands to know if she is a Christian; her answer is drowned out by shouts of “no justice, no peace”. In another clip from Mr Kunkle, a protester appears to order white protesters to the front of the crowd to confront her.

The videos are among several showing protesters berating white people eating at other Washington restaurants that same day.

they just keep pushing more people to vote for Trump

yea, I'm much prefer we pretend people that are burning and looting are legitimate protestors. That doesn't lead to any bad results.

What that fuckhead doesn't realize is we had shut those rioters down in Minnesota with a strong police presence instead of kissing their ass, there wouldn't be McCloskeys or that kid, and a bunch of people - more than the 4 or 5 shot by the police, would be alive because of it.

fuck him

Do you support swift and harsh punishment of this Rittenhouse kid, you know, to shut down future vigilantism?

he was charged with first degree murder within 24 hours when video clearly supports self defense. How much more swift and harsh do you want?

can you accept that allowing rioters to do what they wanted in Minneapolis has emboldened rioters across the country?

"can you accept that allowing rioters to do what they wanted in Minneapolis has emboldened rioters across the country?"

I can accept that a cop appearing to shoot somebody in the back 6 times at point blank range with the victim's kids watching from 3 feet away, esp. when several other similar "unarmed black man death by cop" incidents seem to be popping up all over the place recently has emboldened rioters across the country. I can accept that a thought occurring to most people is "damn, I wonder how the police would've reported these incidents in the days before cell phones?" and concluding that the answer is that they would've reported they had been being attacked with a deadly weapon and had no choice whatsoever and without video evidence most people would've believed it.

What is more difficult to believe it that even with the video evidence in all these cases, there are still lots of people who are still defending the cops or saying maybe they were justified, or pointing out the people that were killed had used drugs or had a previous conviction for domestic assault from 10 years ago or were just "bad" people or some other completely irrelevant bullshit like that, as if that makes it OK for cops to kill them, or somehow mitigates their culpability whatsoever. Actually, that last part isn't that difficult to believe, knowing full well the mindset of some people in this country, but it's definitely hard to accept...
