Actually, UNC has played in a national championship game in nine consecutive decades.

went to the gym tonight for the first time, well I was going regularly for a few years until covid, tried to start back up but with masks and that nonsense I just gave up.

It was not a good time. I lasted about 10 minutes on the treadmill. I have a long slog ahead of me to get back to where I was, if I even can.

Going on a series of hikes ranging anywhere from 7-12 miles in June. I should have started this sooner.

fucking Rocafellas pizza

Try fasting, the weight will melt away. And you obviously have plenty of fat stores built up, so calories are not an issue, i.e., you don't have to eat to get all your energy needs met. For like a month...

Angus Barbieri's fast

Scottish man Angus Barbieri (1939 – 7 September 1990) fasted for 382 days, from June 1965 to July 1966. He lived on tea, coffee, soda water, and vitamins while living at home in Tayport, Scotland, and frequently visiting Maryfield Hospital for medical evaluation. He lost 276 pounds (125 kg) and set a record for the length of a fast.

Barbieri's starting weight was recorded at 456 pounds (207 kg) and he stopped fasting when he reached his goal weight of 180 pounds (82 kg).

I might get desperate enough to try it

My bigger concern is just being out of shape.

At the moment I think its about 70/30 Cal stays at UK.

There is a tremendous amount of blowback toward him right now.

Over the last six months the UofL fanbase has been divided as leadership changes seemingly happen every other week. Throughout each coach and administrator’s departure, one vocal portion of the fanbase has been calling for Tom Jurich to return to his post as athletic director. It was all in good fun when it was just a few folks on Twitter who raised money for a billboard. Tommy Turtleneck 2.0 became a real possibility Tuesday.

Jurich’s most loyal supporters met Tuesday afternoon to hatch a plan to get Jurich to return to his post as Louisville’s athletic director. WDRB’s Eric Crawford was on hand when the meeting adjourned, spotting some of the city and university’s most influential and wealthy actors. Marques Maybin, Scott Davenport and Dr. Ricky Jones were in attendance alongside the big three: Jim Patterson, Steve Trager and Mark Lynn.

If a building has been constructed in the last two decades on UofL’s campus, it probably has Trager, Patterson or Lynn’s name on it. Lynn actually has his name on not one, but two soccer stadiums in the city. All three are ready to reinstate Jurich to his place of power. It’s difficult to analogize this to the University of Kentucky, but allow me to try. Imagine a world where Joe Craft and Bill Gatton are holding meetings to bring DeWayne Peevy back to Lexington, except Peevy actually oversaw a tenure that put the basketball program on probation in perpetuity with countless scandals. The best part? The spokesperson for the UofL athletics coup attempt is John Ramsey.

“We have someone who is integrity driven, who always does the right thing,” Ramsey said with a straight face. “And if they’re looking for characteristics of an AD that we’re looking for, then I think we’ve got him. And he’s interested in the job.”

----------------

Ramsey is the radio personality that Jurich demanded be hired to do a pro-Louisville show to provide an alternative to the UK dominated programming. He was fired 2 years ago.

UL hasn't even received the NCAA punishment for the Brian Bowen scandal yet that was part of the reason Jurich was let go.

UK wasn't hearing he was going pro, they were hearing near the end of the season he was going into the transfer portal

I guess a title game run changed his mind. I can't understand why a key player at UNC would consider leaving anyways, but that rumor had some legs for awhile.

None of the insiders at IC ever mentioned him as being a a transfer possibility, and those 3-4 non-staff guys who have a proven track record are what I would refer to as "insiders."

My college friends group text is already talking about which hotels to book in Houston and what not.

I never heard anybody mention anything about Bacot transferring, I think that must've just been some wishful thinking/gossip by bored rival fans...

Speaking of rumors, I have heard that there are some package NIL deals for Bacot/Love/Davis being talked about. Davis wasn't going anywhere anyway, but if we could get Love back, wow...

What's the deal with UK's stud who won several POY awards? I mean, UK has guys who didn't play a minute and others who put up pedestrian numbers who immediately leave after their freshman year and now there's a guy who is legit and he's pondering staying?? Is the dude not a likely lottery pick??

but the guy who didn't play a second for us is top 10 lottery pick
