What is up with Lesters phobia about the pick off? Hasn't made an attempt in 2 years? Until now, when he basically threw it into the stands. Wasn't there a catcher at one time who suddenly couldn't make the throw back to the pitcher?

Maybe they need to get Lester to memorize all the things the Playboy centerfolds care about and such and recite it before he throws over.

Steve Sax couldn't throw to first or pick his nose for a while.

Gregg Zaun had a game where he couldn't throw it back to the pitcher a few years ago.

so if you have a 100 mph fastball and throw it behind somebody to send a message instead of beaning somebody I don't think you should get kicked out.

you have good enough control that your not going to hit them with you 100mph fastball because you intentionally aimed behind them

I don't think the batter reacted though until herrera pointed to his head while being escorted out

but the royals need to let it go

cain was not intentionally hit in the first inning

I had no problem with Lawries slide. That's how you play baseball. I think the Royals need to take a deep breath. It's been a LONG time since they've mattered. Take it slow.

yost went ballistic because they threw out his pitching coach supposedly after cain was hbp in the first inning

Herrera might have thrown behind him on his own--really no coaches around to make that call--maybe salvadore perez called it

HA! That pic is very reminiscent of the opening night at the Boston Pops a few years ago. True story.
