In semi-related news, I've really developed a deep-seated attraction to Iricka Sergeant (a Kansas City native who's one of the weekend anchors for Houston's KPRC (NBC Channel 2)). If not for all these health issues (plus being a middle-aged mofo), I could see myself rolling with homegirl.
I'm somewhat miffed at Crashcourse for not alerting me to such things.
Still not enough to crack my top 3 all-time of Melinda Spaulding (Fox 26), Lisa Fironda (retired fellow Gator) and Jan Jeffcoat (now in Chicago) but still pretty nice.
She's managed to replace Mia Gratney, which ain't insignificant. I also have a curious attraction to KTRK's Casey Curry. Not an all-time beauty but there's something about her that I find very attractive.
I can't explain it other than she's in my age group. I generally don't like blondes.

I'm sure aggy won't admit this but I'm sure he gets a tingle ever time he comes across this...
Melinda Spaulding, Fox 26:

The "retired" Lisa Foronda.
Not bad for Forty-two.

If Alabama and LSU are the two best teams, I do not think Okie State -or any other team- is deserving of a spot in the game.

Jan Jeffcoat-- former Fox 2 Houston Anchor (now in Chicago). She has one of the best tan's I've ever seen. She actually looks my cousin Nicky from roughly ten years ago.

Blah, blah, blah. You just better hope your boys don't end up the same as did Florida State after the January 1997 Sugar Bowl. I still don't know why Bobby didn'tjust pull Mickey aside some time during the third quarter and tell him, "Dadgummit, they've figured out the inside LB blitz when they go five wide. Cut that out before they hang half-a-hundred on us."

I think that warning would work better if I were a LSU fan. If you will remember, FSU won the first game and lost the title game. This year Bama lost the first one and will beat LSU for the title: hence: LSU = FSU; Bama = Florida.

BTW-The Cincinnati Commandos repeated as CIFL champions this year and are moving to the UIFL for next year... which has named Jared Lorenzen as commisioner.
God I love pro-indoor football. Not watching it mind you, just the idea of it. How has no one yet made a Slapshot rip-off set in an arena football league? Hollywood, I'd like my money now for this idea. You're welcome.
I mean, just peruse the Wikipidia pages of a few of the arena leagues and arena teams. That shit is a comedy goldmine.

Bon Jovi owns a team and when they aren't playing ball he makes them go around and do shit like roof houses for the poor.

I think part of my attraction comes from nostalgia. She also looks a bit like a young lady named Tamika who I rolled with my sophomore year at UF.

Jared Lorenzen is a commissioner of a league.
Peter Warrick plays for the Commandos.
There are at least currently 9 leagues and at least 14 defunct leagues.
The WIFL planned to have offenses play with 8 men and defenses with 7. But in spite of the support of owner John Mellencamp, it folded before playing.
The originator of Arena Football tried to sue all competitors out of existence but the courts decided the only part of the game he could patent was the "rebound net". But even that patent expired in 2007.
In 2009 the AFL did not field a season. But its minor league AF2 did. And eventually, the owners of the AF2 teams basically bought out the AFL and became the AFL.
The organization that is now the AIFA went through three names in its first three seasons.
The APFL ended its 2006 season with a forfeit of the championship game when the league offices refused to allow the championship game to be hosted at the home of the team who had won the right to host and refused to play the game.
The CIFL had its defending champion Rochester Raiders quit the league in the middle of the playoffs in 2008.

H, I think Rat meant to say that the Bengals should have beaten the Ravens the first time around. hence the photo of Gresham's TD catch that was reversed against the Ratbirds.
Nice showing by Bearcat fans to fill up USBank Arena tonight....pitiful.

I was going to cut some snippets from this article, but then I found myself pretty much copying the whole thing. Ridiculosness! Note the part about Haines being ousted... he's the guy who owns the league (UIFL) that the Cincy Commandos are joining for next season after having won the last two CIFL championships.

There is a significant advantage to the losing team in a rematch of this sort.
