Tick, I seem to remember you hailed Gallup as “America’s first... and finest” poll. Well, here’s their latest...
Americans' View of Job Market Hits New High

STORY HIGHLIGHTS
Over 7 in 10 Americans feel positively about the U.S. job market
Employment optimism among workforce is highest since 2000
Majorities of Americans rate economy positively and say it's improving

https://news.gallup.com/poll/257672/ame ... -high.aspx
With a booming economy, America is unlikely to embrace Socialism as espoused by most leading Democrats.

And this is Rasmussen, ffs.

Monday, May 20, 2019
Forty percent (40%) of Likely U.S. Voters think the country is heading in the right direction, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey for the week ending May 16. This week’s finding is down two points from a week ago. Prior to this, that number had been on the decline week-over-week from 43% in early December to 31% by the end of January.

'Tuesday, May 21, 2019
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 46% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty-three percent (53%) disapprove. The latest figures include 33% who Strongly Approve of the job Trump is doing and 44% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -11. (see trends).

WASHINGTON — A newly released Quinnipiac University Poll shows that that favorable feelings about the economy aren't helping President Donald Trump's approval ratings — even though the state of the economy is one of his favorite talking points. It also shows that Joe Biden has the highest favorability ratings among the Democratic field.
According to the poll, 71% of the voters say that the economy is "good" or "excellent," the highest proportion of favorable feelings on the economy in nearly 18 years of Quinnipiac's polling.
Last month's economic data showed that unemployment in the United States had fallen to 3.6%, a 50-year low. That said, 45% of voters disapproved of Trump's handling of the economy, while 48% approved.
“The nation’s economy is pretty darn good and President Donald Trump’s approval numbers are pretty darn awful,” Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll, said in a statement.
These good feelings about the economy haven't helped Trump's approval ratings. They're still lower compared to presidents with similarly well-performing economies.
Only 38% of voters approve of Trump, and 57% disapprove. Going into 2020, 54% of voters say that they "definitely" will not vote to re-elect Trump.

This is from Fox News:

"But Barr’s verbal jujitsu did its original job, most likely the one he was hired to provide – a singular soap box for three weeks during which the president used Barr’s summary to trumpet exaggerated and often plainly wrong interpretations of the report.

And things are about to get worse...

Remember that Democrats actually picked up seats in Congress during President Clinton’s impeachment drama, due in large part to that White House’s discipline in building a firewall between governing and dealing with the daily operational requirements of the impeachment itself.

This White House gives no indication of having that kind of discipline. Its day to day operations are geared more toward providing the president with his daily allowance of grievance than it is on governing. This is what happens when morally rudderless people convene around a vain leader whose only constituency and motivation is the face he sees every day in the mirror. Everything else is deception."

That 38% of voters who approve of Trump you quoted must be from CNN, MSNBC or Nate Silver. Here are the current REAL Trump approval numbers from all the polls according to RCP:

CBS News 5/17 - 5/20 41%
Economist/YouGov 5/18 - 5/21 44%
Politico/Morning Consult 5/17 - 5/19 42%
Rasmussen Reports 5/19 - 5/21 46%
Quinnipiac 5/16 - 5/20 38%
FOX News 5/11 - 5/14 46%
Reuters/Ipsos 5/10 - 5/14 40%
Emerson 5/10 - 5/13 43%
The Hill/HarrisX 5/10 - 5/11 44%
Gallup 5/1 - 5/12 42%

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epoll ... -6179.html

Those polls look a lot like these polls of Trump voters, taken on the eve of the 2016 Election:

Bloomberg 11/4 - 11/6 41%
IBD/TIPP Tracking 11/4 - 11/7 45%
Economist/YouGov 11/4 - 11/7 41%
ABC/Wash Post Tracking 11/3 - 11/6 43%
FOX News 11/3 - 11/6 44%
Monmouth 11/3 - 11/6 44%
Gravis 11/3 - 11/6 43%
NBC News/Wall St. Jrnl 11/3 - 11/5 40%
Reuters/Ipsos 11/2 - 11/6 39%
Rasmussen Reports 11/2 - 11/6 43%
CBS News 11/2 - 11/6 41%

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epoll ... -5952.html

How did those polls work out for ya?

PS I bet the last polls before the election in Australia showed the conservative candidate similarly trailing against the liberal. We all know how that turned out.

Russians cutting deals with right-wingers all over the place, not just here.

http://nymag.com/intelligencer/2019/05/ ... andal.html

Political norms regarding foreign interference really mean something over in Central Europe. On Saturday, Austrian chancellor Sebastian Kurz dissolved his coalition government after a video emerged of a far-right coalition leader promising government contracts to a Russian woman who alleged she was the niece of an oligarch close to Vladimir Putin.

Hillary gave millions of dollars to the Russians to buy the fake pee pee dossier on Trump. That is a fact. Even some of the fake news organizations say so.

Trump did not collude with the Russians. Your Golden Boy Mueller even said so.

Your calling me names doesn't change these proven facts.

The only triple crown this year will be if dems/msm go for impeachment. Here's hoping they do. They lost the election, they lost the investigation, now, please, please commence impeachment.

Forward!!!lllll

Absolutely, positively, correct. (I would add that they lost the Kavanaugh smear also.)

I also want the Dems to impeach Trump. In fact, I hereby plead for them to do so. Here's why:
The latest Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll survey found that 65 percent of respondents oppose impeachment proceedings. A majority of Democrats polled, 56 percent, support impeachment, however, only 32 percent of independents and 14 percent of Republicans are in favor.

A majority of respondents, 58 percent, said it’s time to turn the page on the Russia investigations, including 60 percent of independents, although two-thirds of Democrats want to see further investigations.

Sixty-four percent of voters said Democrats should accept Mueller’s findings and move on without launching any new Russia probes, though 61 percent said they support a special counsel being appointed to investigate the origins of the FBI’s probe into the Trump campaign. Fifty-five percent said they believe bias played a role in the FBI launching its investigation into contacts between the Trump campaign and Russian officials.

https://thehill.com/homenews/administra ... roceedings
The Dems will eventually impeach Trump. The deranged, rabid hatred of their base will compel them to do so, even though impeachment would be the exact opposite of their own political best interests. (And they fancy themselves the "smart" people.)
