Coming back from a wedding. Had an 8-hour layover and could’ve gotten the flight changed to one the next day if more time was needed.

In other words, I had a pocket full of silver and was looking to spend it on whiskey and song and women of ill repute.

There's a strip club a mile from the airport on the left on Woodlawn after you cross over 77...Classy establishment from outside appearances.

That's a bit of a haul from Wilson, but I would've made it had I been in town. Stu? No way...

That is one of the downsides of not living near a major airport. You either got a 8+ hour layover or else they make it so tight that you're in danger of missing your connecting flight. They were halfway done with boarding by the time we got to the gate in Dallas on Sunday night, barely had time to piss. I wouldn't want to live in Dallas/Houston/Miami, but damn it sure is easy to pop over to pretty much anywhere in the Caribbean. We dove with a guy who had just flown in from Houston for the weekend. That would be nice to be able to do that, instead of having to block out pretty much a whole day on each end of the trip for getting there and getting back...

Cincinnati used to be a hub. We paid higher prices for tickets than most people did but we also had Comair in terminal C. You could catch a direct flight almost anywhere, many times on a shuttle.

Then 2008 happened and it went to shit. While we have cheaper airfares because of competition, you are flying thru another cities hub. I don't even fly Delta anymore. American sucks but I get better flights out of Cinci thru them

Yeah, 7 hour layover, but I figured I would change the departure to the next day and meet y’all in Greensboro or whatever.

A lawsuit was filed Monday in a federal court in Seattle that claims protesters in the city are essentially being priced out of protesting for civil rights because the protective gear they need to keep them safe from responding police is expensive, a report on Tuesday said.

The Seattle Times reported that the five plaintiffs listed some of the items needed for protection from police munitions during these protests. The list included boots, gloves, helmets and gas masks.


The lawsuit claims, according to the report, that protesters who take part in these rallies have to face the possibility of an aggressive police response and “must purchase expensive equipment to be assured that they will be able to protest safely, the indiscriminate use of weapons by SPD implicates equal protection.”

Why not? The cops have all that stuff plus more. Protect the hippies too.

Even though we don’t live in Charlotte anymore, we still drive two hours there to get no connecting flights.
