My main memory of an Arizona loss was in 2005, I had them playing us in the finals in my bracket and they looked like they had Illinois beat in their Elite 8 game but somehow Illinois came back to beat them in OT. Can't really call that an upset, but it was definitely a choke job, they were up big late in the second half and blew it. I remember think Channing Frye was great and that he was going to have a good NBA career, I kinda remember him getting drafted and he probably had an OK career but nothing like I thought he would...

Channing Frye actually did have a decent NBA career, well, decent in the fact that he made $69 million in career money. Not bad. Arizona also had a lesser known Stoudamire on their team that year (Salim), he got drafted and played 3 years in the league, looks like he averaged 8 ppg over those three years, seems like that would be good enough to be a backup for some team, but he was gone after that. He was a senior on that 2005 team, averaging 18.4 ppg. I think I was actually a little worried about the prospect of playing them in the finals that year, but then they choked against Illinois. Not that Illinois was a bad team, but I kinda remember thinking Arizona was better...

We went over to the daughter's house to watch some games, I laid down after not too long and fell asleep, when my daughter woke me up, her husband said "did you see that Duke lost?", I knew he was making a lame attempt at fucking with me and I was like "you've been sitting here watching me sleep for two hours and you're asking me if I saw that Duke lost??" I think they were doing blow. If you had told me when I was their age that one day I'd be able to sleep soundly in a room full of people doing blow, I wouldn't have believed you...

We were at the same halftime score of UNC / Illinois in the 2005 championship game, but then Styles scored a basket and their guy made 2 ft's. Same margin though. Can't complain. Hope we get the same result as we did in 2005...
