that game is why we have the '96 championship

Pitino realized he had to quit relying on the 3 point shot

Coach Smith coached circles around that greaseball that Saturday afternoon...Good times...

Also, if not for the Arkansas thuggery on Stack and that fat fuck hitting a half court heave before the half, we beat Arkansas and then beat UCLA Monday night.

As were the vast majority of UK's games versus Coach Smith (and all of Slick Rick's games)....

"We will always have Birmingham:"

Didn't realize it until I watched the last few minutes, but that was our 6th straight win over UK, dating back to 1975. That was 20 years of futility against UNC, including another regional finals loss in 1977. Ouch...

Do I have to watch the whole thing? That's sorta a long response. Maybe a gif describing it?

1996 was the last time the average person in the state of Massachusetts gave a damn about college basketball. Even when BC was kicking everyone's ass in 2004, the average person in Massachusetts wasn't even aware.

No one gives a fuck, and that team lost early in its conference tournament and the NCAA tournament. Big fucking deal...

I cared. I was a newbie resident in Phoenix and all my coworkers (who knew I was a BC fan) teased me that year saying BC in 2004 was what St Joes was in 2003. They diminished what I thought was an incredible season.

Dead program.

Our only player was an Oklahoma graduate who shouldn’t even be playing anymore. Think about that at North Carolina.

Fuck you, Roy!

that was pretty bad last night, K's last game against UNC is a blowout on the road

Davis is going to feel some heat on that

I wish that was the last one vs Carolina. They’ll humiliate us worse next month in his home farewell from Hell.

I had to utilize liquor and a vape pen with some high quality stuff from out west to make it through the game. It was horrible.

Hubert Davis is a genuinely good person. I think he sets a fine example for these guys in terms of how an adult conducts himself. He is a fine assistant coach who has helped shooters develop and sharpen their form. He appears to be a great family man. With all of that said, he should have never been hired and should resign immediately.

Caleb Love needs to be given a bus ticket out of town. RJ Davis needs to be benched. However, neither is possible due to the lack of depth.

Styles and Dunn need to be playing. The development is needed. In fact, the politics involved with Styles not playing will only serve to further harm this program. Styles and his family are pissed — and rightfully so — that he isn’t getting more PT on such a shit squad despite reports that he is more than showing his worth in practice. The Kinston folks are livid, and this is going to kill us when it comes to the next Kinston phenom.

Our recruiting sucks. Our in-game coaching sucks. Our player development sucks. We are the new Indiana. Fuck me.

You cannot tell me Wes Miller or Chris Holtmann would not have been better.

Cunningham was brought in to be a “football AD” and the results are no different than our historical norms. Granted, Cunningham had no say in Mack’s hiring since it was dictated and funded by a group of 25-30 multi-million-dollar donors, but Cunningham should be fired for allowing Davis to happen and should have been fired for allowing Fedora’s slide into mediocrity (amongst other things). Football has been largely stagnant / experienced marginal improvement, but basketball and baseball are in far worse shape than when Cunningham was hired. Cunningham needs to go.

Bubba is nothing more than a “Yes” man, smiling and glad-handing for all the bullshit sports no one gives a fuck about. As DS said, the big money football donors brought Mack back. But Roy Williams made this disastrous hire all by himself. How is that allowed at a supposedly public university of the people? Dean Smith did the same shit in 1997, though it was Roy who fucked us again in 2000, reneging on his promise to take over for Gut.

Now look where we are as a dying program. All those fans who accused Kentucky of racism for being tired of Tubby’s mediocrity are about to get their reckoning. Tubby wasn’t a UK alum and former player, and that was still an ugly situation for their program. Carolina? Let’s review…

Handpicked by Roy off the ESPN College Game Day crew
All American at UNC
His Uncle Walter was an All American at UNC
White UNC wife that he touted at his hiring press conference
Insisted on “UNC Men” ONLY as his assistants
Evangelical Christian that he flaunts constantly
He refuses to embrace NIL and the Uber elite ballers

To top it all off, our one “savior” recruit is a lifelong Carolina fan from South Carolina. His Dad loves UNC and is a minister — and Hubert is still going to lose the kid to dook*!

Yeah, tell me how we’re going to get rid of this incompetent fool? This is a North Carolina Fan’s Nightmare. Our once proud program is dead.
