Lindsey Graham words to Congress awhile back: "a president can be removed if this body determines that your conduct as a public official is clearly out of bounds in your role . . . because impeachment is not about punishment. Impeachment is about cleansing the office. Impeachment is about restoring honor and integrity to the office.”

"I've been upping my forecast. I'm now at 2.75 percent to 3 percent for the year, probably closer to 3 percent," Mester said. "I think that the fiscal policy – the stimulus and the tax cuts – has been a positive for the economy in terms of demand growth and so that's one of the factors."

"But also there's been more momentum in the economy than I might have anticipated," she added.

Public support for the recent tax overhaul plunged in the past two months, as more voters became ambivalent about it, according to a new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll.

Just 37 percent of registered voters said they supported the tax-cut laden law, down from 44 percent in an April poll. The number of voters who were undecided or offered no opinion leapt to 24 percent from 17 percent

You keep making the same mistake that the “R” by someone’s name means anything. About half the people with R by their names hates Trump as much as the Dem’s do.

Speaking of names, if the Trump investigation was a real investigation, the Director of the FBI (Coney), the Deputy Director of the FBI (McCabe), and the FBI Director of Counterterrorism (Strzok) wouldn’t have been investigated, censured by the Inspector General (Horowitz)for investigative misconduct, and fired for cause. If this were a real job investigation, it would have been immediately ceased because all the top investigators were found to be hopelessly dirty.

At least the investigation of the Duke LaCrosse players stopped when one prosecutor -DA Mike Nifong - was found to be dirty. The Witch Hunt has three Mike Nifongs, but we are supposed to believe that the Witch Hunt is legit?

If I understand it correctly, Trump paid hush money to a porn star for an affair 10 years ago, and THAT is being called an”illegal campaign contribution”? What a joke... What a fraud...Just what I would expect from a Putin-esque investigation like this.

Hey leftists, go find a real crime and get back to me.

That is a good segue into a little refresher class that is in order. Attention Trump Derangement Syndrome sufferers: The following would be the REAL “this is it!” after so many “this is it!” moments that came and went.

And what would be that REAL “This is it?”? It would be actual real evidence that Trump actually colluded with Russia. That’s not too much to ask. By that I mean a recording, or an email, or memo where Trump says something like, “Vlad, I’ve got a deal for you. If you can somehow find a way to get lots of blue collar voters in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, who voted for Obama last time, to vote for me this time, and make me president, then I will not oppose you in Syria, or Western Ukraine, or the Baltics. Whadaya say, Velodya? Do we have a deal?”

THAT would be real collusion. THAT would be impeachable. THAT would turn people like me against Trump.
This offer still stands.
This offer still still stands. Moreover, I'm feeling magnanimous right now, so I will expand the above offer:

1. The above offer now extends beyond the original supposed alleged ruse driving this whole corrupt investigation, which was originally passed off as a Trump-Russia investigation. I will now expand it to include all alleged criminal acts by Trump. But all those allegations must be proven by a recording, or an email, or a video, or a memo, or anything that is perceptible by the human senses. Bogus pseudo "evidence" things like, "Trump's son had a meeting with Russian lawyers!!!" or "Manafort had dirty business deals with Ukrainians!!!" or "Trump paid off a hooker!!!" does not count as evidence. It must empirical. It must prove the charge.

2. Here is what this offer considers "criminal acts" committed by Trump: 20 years ago, Bill Clinton was proven by the empirical evidence of semen on a cocktail dress, to have lied under oath. But the Democrats fought tooth and nail against impeaching Clinton throughout that whole process, insisting that the felony of perjury was not an impeachable offense. Okay. I accept the standard the Left set 20 years ago. All offenses PROVEN to be committed by Trump (see above) must be more serious than the crime of lying under oath. If Democrats didn't think perjury was impeachable then, then then they will have to prove Trump committed a crime worse than perjury to impeach Trump now. Hint: pure chicken shit like "paying a hooker is an in-kind campaign contribution," or anything else that requires teams of Ivy League sophists and casuists to explain, does not count.

If both the above provisos are met, then I, your Professor Tiger, will immediately join the call for Trump's impeachment and become his harshest critic here. That has been my position all along. Do we have a deal?

Allen Weisselberg is the Trump Organizations accountant and he's agreed to cooperate with the Special Counsel after being granted immunity? Who's left to flip on the president...the coffee boy? Oh wait...

Prof. wrt to your confusing "offer": I don't have a tape of Donnie and Putin plotting election interference. Maybe Mueller does. Eventually he'll reveal his findings and all the speculation will be over. The waiting is the hardest part. Every day you see one more card, you take it on faith - you take it to the heart.

The waiting is the hardest part.

Just when you think indicting Trump's Coffee Boy was as ridiculous as this Witch Hunt can get, looks like Trump's door man has flipped on him, and is now cooperating with investigators. You just can't make this stuff up:

https://www.cnn.com/2018/08/24/politics ... index.html

Mueller has already successfully proven that Manafort didn't pay his taxes and Cohen paid a hooker. Now we are going to get the inside dirt on whether goes in and out of Trump Towers using regular or revolving doors. OUR DEMOCRACY IS IN DANGER!!!

Meanwhile the latest round of polls, including those taken after the Manafort and Cohen convictions:

https://www.cnn.com/2018/08/24/politics ... index.html

Note how the Trump approval numbers have changed at all.

The Deep State's attempted coups attempt against Trump continues to fail, badly.

Nobody cares if you will "accept" whatever happens to Trump for whatever reason. For all intents and purposes, you don't exist. Your opinion about anything means nothing...

I post my opinions here. You and several others read it, and care enough to comment on it. In fact, they mean so much to you personally that you comment on my posts most every day. Therefore I exist.

Admit it, hedge. You wish you knew how to quit me.

Whether I "care" about your opinions doesn't mean they mean anything, but I'm glad that your own self-worth and personal validation of your own opinions is so intricately tied to whether I care about them or not. Clearly plenty of others who used to post in here know how to quit you, as almost all of them have left, which is mostly your fault. I'm sure you're very proud of that. Finally, related to the first point, I'm glad that, even in your own opinion, your very existence is dependent of whether a stranger on the internet who despises you comments a few times a day on your idiotic proclamations. Obviously in your mind, clearly expressed hostility towards you is preferable to no response at all, which is the very definition of masochism. Well, enjoy...

AA, is that you? I'm not a masochist. Masochists love to feel pain. I don't feel pain at all when you say you don't like me. Moby Dick doesn't feel pain when Ahab shakes his tiny harpoon at him. Moby Dick just keeps on doing what he does.

This is a political opinion board. I post political opinions here. That's what I do. If people like you get all upset when people like me have the audacity to disagree with you (which is now almost universal among people like you), then you're just going have to find a way to deal with it.
RIP John McCain, an American hero and statesman.
Indeed a great American hero. One of the greatest our military has ever produced.

From the Trump-loving NBC News:
NBC/WSJ poll: Trump approval 'remarkably stable' after a stormy week of bad news

Between Aug. 18 and Aug. 22 — the day after the news involving former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and former Trump attorney Michael Cohen — the president's approval rating stood at 46 percent approve, 51 percent disapprove.

In a separate NBC/WSJ survey, conducted Aug. 22 through Aug. 25, Trump's approval rating was 44 percent approve and 52 percent disapprove. That's within the poll's margin of error.

It is fitting that your grasp of the current political situation is something that is analogous to a science fiction movie. More proof that you have the mentality, if not the intelligence, of a 12 year old...

Awww...... you don’t like me..... my feelings are hurt....boo hoo.....

Rep John Lewis (D-GA) on the passing of John McCain:

“We have lost a great warrior who defended this nation’s honor in times of war and peace. He risked his life for America as a soldier, guarded our integrity as a prisoner of war, and dedicated his entire life to public service. Only a few will ever be remembered for standing on the courage of their convictions.

“Sen. John McCain was one of those rare people who was never afraid to do what he believed was right. Our nation is forever indebted to men and women of conscience who struggle—in their own way, according to the dictates of their own hearts—to act on the ideals of democracy and work to build a more perfect union. I send my deepest condolences to his family. They are in my thoughts and prayers.”

Rep John Lewis (D-GA) on John McCain when the latter was running for President in 2008

“What I am seeing reminds me too much of another destructive period in American history. Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin are sowing the seeds of hatred and division, and there is no need for this hostility in our political discourse," Lewis said in a statement.

"During another period, in the not too distant past, there was a governor of the state of Alabama named George Wallace who also became a presidential candidate. George Wallace never threw a bomb. He never fired a gun, but he created the climate and the conditions that encouraged vicious attacks against innocent Americans who were simply trying to exercise their constitutional rights. Because of this atmosphere of hate, four little girls were killed on Sunday morning when a church was bombed in Birmingham, Alabama," wrote the Democrat.
