However, I like IU's chances of making the dance this year. How they play against Cal U will tell a lot about them. Hopefully IU will get the home cooking that Cal U got last year and they might be able to keep it close.
State fell apart at the end and when you guys smelt blood you put the dagger in. hopefully State learned from the game. good luck the rest of the way. I'd love to get a series going with you guys.
Agreed. In the past years, IU would have fell apart getting behind that late in the game but they kept playing hard. I am a little concerned about their turnovers. I wish IU and other schools instead of all the non stop cupcakes would put at least similar programs from different conferences on the schedule.

UNC/UK

if its a tight game at the end I give the nod to UNC. UK isn't prepared for a late game that is close and UNC is going to want it more and know how to make it happen.

UK just doesn't have their ducks in a row at this point to fight off a strong organized team. The only caveat is that UNC hasn't played that type of game yet. I think UNC wanting to keep the pace fast actually works in UK's favor. If UNC would play a deliberate half court game, they could probably hold a lead throughout the entire game.

Thank god Roy refuses to do that.

Alabama can still probably get a Gtown rematch in the BCS championship game.

Notice how the ones who didn't fall kept their position. They kept the cheer going. That's dedication. Fuck the losers who fall, we're staying up here and cheering, goddamit!

That's why stuff like that should only be performed at half time. So it doesn't hold up the game.

I need my own forum. I don't care what you call it but come the fuck on. I can't work in this stuffy place.

If I've said anything about A Grant's teams, it's that they are at risk of having putrid halves on offense. It hurt them last night. An average first half of offense and they end up winning that game, I'm sure. Still, you gotta give it to G'Town for nuttin' up and hitting that buzzer beater after blowing the 9-point lead in less than three minutes.

I thought you had the AFC site which bankrupted worldcrossing and froze half on line users with some virus called "rat fever--catch it and pass it on"

True. But I would never do that here. Trust me.

Don't blame me because of C MAC and his hatred for Iraqi soccer. Where is he now huh?

Carolina struggled mightily in the halfcourt vs. Vegas. Too many one-on-one offbalance jumpers and no ability to convert from the foul line. Maybe slowing it down would work better vs. UK but if the Wildcats are hitting from outside it should be a fun day for the Rupp faithful.

I think UNLV had the right idea by putting a guy on Marshall from the moment he got the inbounds pass. He has a knack for hitting an open teammate on the fly with a baseball pass and that put an end to it.

But if UNC doesn't develop a reliable perimeter game, they won't win shit this year.

Somebody at IC said the UNC/UK game was good vs. evil...

You're gonna need more than a bigger boat on Saturday. You better bring a battleship. Wildcats are gonna wax your asses.
I'm sure that would have really stung if I was actually a Tarhole fan, but alas, my tagline says different...

Is there any doubt uk will win this game? UNC has no chance at rupp tomorrow. Hairston's ability to hit threes will definitely be missed by the Heels. I don't see Bullock hitting the outside shots on the road, although it was nice to see him hit a three late against wisconsin and hopefully that gives him confidence. I can't see Marshall containing anyone on the perimeter.

Actually, no, it wouldn't have. Stupidity only stings its purveyors...

From IC's preview of UK:

"Kentucky enters Saturday’s contest with a 7-0 record. The top-ranked Wildcats are beating their opponents by an average of 28.8 points per game. All seven victories have been by double digits or more"

More than double digits? Impressive...
