The VP will be that ex Police Chief, now Congresswoman from Florida. She checks some key DEM boxes.

Whitmer can get it, though. That tight blue dress told me that she's comfortable getting freaky af...ride you dry and cook you lunch freaky; I'm not talking cold cuts, either. COOK you lunch. Idk if she could deliver Michigan, but she can get it.

I like her too. Either her or Kamala, preferably Kamala. I'd rather have Klobuchar than Whitmer, but I could live with either....

Speaking of go big, I wonder if she was offended by Pelosi's "morbidly obese" comment. I don't have anything against Abrams, I actually like her, but I think Demmings and esp. Kamala are more qualified to be VP than somebody who couldn't even win the Georgia governor's race. Granted, it's Georgia and granted she came close, but close doesn't get it in presidential politics...,

I don’t disagree.

I have been advocating for Kamala for a while. Two milquetoast crackers aren’t going to excite the minority communities.

Look at widdle baby Trump throwing another tantrum about mail in voting. He doesn't even care anymore that he lies. It's sad to watch a sitting President lose his faculties although that's been known for awhile.

Picking a black female is a vain attempt to shore up AA voters lost to Trump in '16....Trump's AA support will be larger this year no matter who he picks. Pathetic pandering.

William Haseltine, a groundbreaking researcher of cancer, HIV/AIDS and human genome projects, said the better approach now is to manage the disease through careful tracing of infections and strict isolation measures whenever it starts spreading. While a COVID-19 vaccine could be developed, he said, “I wouldn’t count on it.” Vaccines developed previously for other types of coronavirus had failed to protect mucous membranes in the nose where the virus typically enters the body, he said.

Woman with lupus took hydroxychloroquine for 19 years, still got COVID-19

Kim said even though she took precautions when leaving the house for the grocery store, she thought she would be safe because of what President Donald Trump has said about the drug.

Kim said she was in the hospital for seven days.

She said she was on oxygen and received plasma.

Kim is mostly recovered now, but is still on oxygen at her home.

"You're not safe taking that medication at all. (Hydroxychloroquine) is not going to prevent anything. You can still get coronavirus," Kim said. "It kind of makes me mad that (Trump) thinks it's going to do that and is telling the whole world it's going to do that."

object lesson in why Democrats don't fuck with gun owners..........................

Three Democratic members of the Staunton, Virginia, city council were ousted by Republicans on Tuesday despite receiving more votes than they did four years ago.

Republican candidates Mark Robertson, Amy Darby, and Steve Claffey all joined incumbent Andrea Oakes in a four-seat GOP sweep, WHSV reported. The three incoming council members replaced Democratic incumbents Erik Curren, Ophie Kier, and James Harrington all almost doubled their vote totals from 2016, yet still lost.

Local outlet Augusta Free Press reporter Chris Graham called the results “stunning almost beyond words.”

“Democrats got their voters out better than they have in a May cycle in years,” Graham wrote. “Republicans got turnout more akin to, not quite a presidential year, but approaching gubernatorial.”

Graham cited gun control legislation in the state as well as COVID-19 lockdowns as key turnout drivers for Republicans in the city.

“A city that voted for Barack Obama, twice, voted for Hillary Clinton, voted for Terry McAuliffe and Ralph Northam, even gave a solid majority to Jennifer Lewis in her 2018 congressional run against Ben Cline, is now controlled by Republicans.”
....................
voter turnout was also 3X higher than in the last election
