My neighbor is a decently connected Rams Club member (lends his commuter jet to the football staff, goes to closed football practices, has staff visit him whenever their in the area recruiting, has a box, several good basketball seats, endowed a few athletic scholarships, donated a million dollars in one shot on top of annual giving, etc) but far from being one of the truly big wigs like the Khouries, Nelson Schwab, Johnny Harris/the Cameron/Morrison family/Shelby Dynasty remnants, the Kenans, Eddie Smith (Grady White Boats), etc. Said neighbor has sworn up and down since word of Coach Williams' retirement started circulating that Roy was retiring now because K was going to announce a retirement soon and Coach Williams' didn't want to get caught up in the same news cycle as K / appear to be grandstanding / make it seem like he (Williams) was retiring since K was retiring. I thought that sawed off midget (when he parks his godforsaken Bentley on the curb at his daughter's house behind mine, you can't see the fucker over the roof of the car due to the passenger side being higher) was full of shit, but he may have been on to something.
