Another fantasy in the future tense:
Will they charge McCabe for "lack of candor"? Doubtful. Will McCabe successfully sue to get his pension? Probably.

From the DOJ's own Office of the Inspector General, composed of career officers:
A Report of Investigation of Certain Allegations Relating to Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe

https://oig.justice.gov/reports/2018/o20180413.pdf

The Offense Codes Applicable to the FBI’s Internal Disciplinary Process punish FBI employees for “lack of candor.” Offense Code 2.5 (Lack of Candor – No
Oath) prohibits “[k]nowingly providing false information when making a verbal or written statement, not under oath, to a supervisor, another Bureau employee in an authoritative position, or another governmental agency, when the employee is questioned about his conduct or the conduct of another person.” Offense Code 2.6 (Lack of Candor – Under Oath) prohibits “[k]nowingly providing false information in a verbal or written statement
made under oath.” Under both offense codes, lack of candor is defined to include “false statements, misrepresentations, the failure to be
fully forthright, or the concealment or omission of a material fact/information.” (p.3)

We concluded that McCabe lacked candor on four separate occasions in connection with the disclosure to the WSJ. Three of those occasions involved his
testimony under oath.

Lack of Candor with then-Director Comey on or about October 31, 2016 (p.22)

Lack of Candor in Interview Under Oath with INSD Agents on May 9, 2017 (p.27)

Lack of Candor in Interview Under Oath with OIG Investigators on July 28, 2017 (p.29)

Lack of Candor in Interview Under Oath with OIG Investigators on November 29, 2017 (p.31)

The OIG also concluded that McCabe’s disclosure of the existence of an ongoing investigation in the manner described in this report violated the FBI’s and the Department’s media policy and constituted misconduct. The OIG is issuing this report to the FBI for such action that it deems to be appropriate. P.35)
Lying under oath three times doesn't usually lead to the slap on the wrist you are imagining.

I said this in 2017:
Re: Florida State Seminoles
Postby Professor Tiger » Tue Oct 31, 2017 7:11 am

That is a good segue into a little refresher class that is in order. Attention Trump Derangement Syndrome sufferers: The following would be the REAL “this is it!” after so many “this is it!” moments that came and went.

And what would be that REAL “This is it?”? It would be actual real evidence that Trump actually colluded with Russia. That’s not too much to ask. By that I mean a recording, or an email, or memo where Trump says something like, “Vlad, I’ve got a deal for you. If you can somehow find a way to get lots of blue collar voters in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, who voted for Obama last time, to vote for me this time, and make me president, then I will not oppose you in Syria, or Western Ukraine, or the Baltics. Whadaya say, Velodya? Do we have a deal?”

THAT would be real collusion. THAT would be impeachable. THAT would turn people like me against Trump.
This offer still stands.
This offer still still stands. Moreover, I'm feeling magnanimous right now, so I will expand the above offer:

1. The above offer now extends beyond the original supposed alleged ruse driving this whole corrupt investigation, which was originally passed off as a Trump-Russia investigation. I will now expand it to include all supposed alleged criminal acts by Trump but all those allegations must be proven by a recording, or an email, or a video, or a memo, or anything that is perceptible by the human senses. Bogus pseudo "evidence" things like, "Trump's son had a meeting with Russian lawyers!!!" or "Manafort had dirty business deals with Ukrainians!!!" or "Trump paid off a hooker!!!" does not count as evidence. It must empirical. No more conspiracy theories.

2. Here is what this offer considers "criminal acts" committed by Trump: 20 years ago, Bill Clinton was proven by the empirical evidence of semen on a cocktail dress, to have lied under oath. But the Democrats fought tooth and nail against impeaching Clinton throughout that whole process, insisting that the felony of perjury was not an impeachable offense. Okay. I accept the standard the Left set 20 years ago. All offenses PROVEN to be committed by Trump (see above) must be more serious than the crime of lying under oath. If Democrats didn't think perjury was impeachable then, then then they will have to prove Trump committed a crime worse than perjury to impeach Trump now. Hint: pure chicken shit like "paying a hooker is an in-kind campaign contribution," or anything else that requires teams of Ivy League sophists and casuists to explain, does not count.

If both the above provisos are met, then I, your Professor Tiger, will immediately join the call for Trump's impeachment and become his harshest critic here. That has been my position all along. Do we have a deal?

Prof is already at it. He has laid out a scenario that he would consider "real" with regard collusion, implying that anything else, anything whatsoever that doesn't have to do with collusion with Russia, would have no bearing on his opinion. Which of course is simply another aspect of his and his ilk's "strategy", i.e., only the most narrow (indeed, single) issue of collusion with Russia is on the table as far as possible malfeasance by Trump. Anything else is either outside the scope of any investigation (and therefor, I guess, "OK") or else not really "that bad", its violation of law notwithstanding. It's all a ploy by the "deep state{ the liberal media, blah blah blah. Funny (but utterly unsurprising) thing about this latest blowup is that it was completely and obviously orchestrated by Trump himself. Trump gets Giuliani on board to "negotiate" his position for him on Fox News, and he basically becomes a witness for the prosecution, on Trumps own orders. You can't make this shit up. Funny thing is, I'm sure Muller and everybody else already knew all of this stuff, but since Prof hadn't heard it yet, it didn't count. Well, now he has, but once again, he shrugs and moves on...

But Mr. Trump’s public deceptions are surely relevant to his job as President, and the attempted cover-up has done greater harm than any affair would have. Mr. Trump asked Americans, not the least his supporters, to believe his claims about the payments. They were false and conveniently so in putting the onus on Mr. Cohen. Now, as more of the story has emerged, he wants everyone to believe a new story that he could have told the first time.

Mr. Trump is compiling a record that increases the likelihood that few will believe him during a genuine crisis—say, a dispute over speaking with special counsel Robert Mueller or a nuclear showdown with Kim Jong Un. Mr. Trump should worry that Americans will stop believing anything he says

Lying to the cameras is not illegal. If lying to cameras was a criminal offense, then Washington DC would be one giant prison. It is only as big a deal as listeners want to make it. Would anybody like to see youtube videos of ALL the lies Hillary told? About half the country thought those were a big deal, and about half didn't.

Lying under oath is illegal. That's a big deal. Ask Bill Clinton. He wasn't impeached for this...

muellers time to put up or shut up hit a snag when concord management came up with 2 attorneys who want the proof

and manaforts judge basically bitch slapped the entire mueller witch hunt....I mean special investigation

Now Lurch is rummaging through a hooker's accounts receivables and stuff Manafort supposedly did before he ever worked before Trump. Acts of a desperate man without anything else to go on.

Until he began running for president, Trump not only did not deny his extensive dealings with Russian investors and clients but actually spoke about it frequently, boasting of the amount of Russian money that flowed through his projects in numerous interviews. So, too, did his sons, Donald Jr. and Eric: In 2008, Donald Jr. told investors in Moscow that “Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets,” while Eric reportedly told a golf reporter in 2014 that the Trump Organization was able to expand during the financial crisis because “We don’t rely on American banks. We have all the funding we need out of Russia.”

Yeah, around 2010 or so the Trump organization started paying cash for big land deals, especially golf courses and developments. A switch was flipped - instead of being a yuge borrower, everything became cash and carry. We'll find out eventually how many hundreds of millions of Russian dollars we're talking about here.

It was always "follow the money."

Thanks to Mueller’s dogged pursuit of justice, he has uncovered multiple criminal acts by Trump. Manafort has flipped on Trump and confessed that Trump once dangerously had Russian dressing on his salad, suspiciously consumed Russian caviar, treasonously imbibed Russian vodka, and - horrors! - seditiously attended a performance of Tchaikovsy’s “The Nutcracker” last Christmas!

Arrest Trump now!!!
