Ole Piss will play them close for a half, what happens in the other half will make it irrelevant.

"If I still had a bookie, I would lay major cash on that game."

I thought you never bet on Bama football?

I would make an exception. That line is whacky. Ditto: TAMU-Arkie.

What is the line?

A Bama/Ole Miss game was my largest wager ever.

It was the year after Saban had lost to X Schnizzle and Bowden in Jax - but you could just sorta see the Tide were getting to another level. Anyways I was drunk off my ass after a Craps run in the Bahamas and saw the line in the Sportsbook was ungodly low so I hammered Bama at something like -7 and they won going away.

Good times.

+16 is a shitload of points.

I resent that the government forbids me from gambling on line. Most credit cards won't go through. There used to be a third-party credit card reprocesser for gambling sites but that's essentially gone now.

So, in Bham, you can gamble at the govt sponsored dog track, or not at all (legally). Ridiculous.

The opening line was TAMU -3. They've largely taken it off the board now, though.

I've seen speculation in other places that that was an error from the big boys who set the line - supposed to be -13.

I'm just sorry I didnt get on it before it came down.

Agree completely on betting. You can fly to Vegas or Atlantis and do it legally, most every state has dog racing, the lottery or some other form of gambling.

I should be able to sit at home and log onto www.Mirage.com or whatever and bet on line w/ those folks.

I thought there were some reputable off-shore sites that you could gamble on?

You can if your credit card will allow it. Most have put the kibosh on such activities now.

I used 5 dimes 3 years ago - it was just a huge deal to get money to them - and even bigger pain in the ass for them to get money to you.

Yeah. Some of these places want you to fax them copies of driver's license, credit card, passport - whatever.

Yeah, how about no.

I went thru that hassle with one service (without researching it), ended up not getting $900 that I had won (can't recall the amount I funded the account with), so I never did it again, but I recall Talent talking about betting regularly with a different service and mentioning some others that he had found to be honest dealers without much hassle with funding or collecting. I would think the market would naturally weed out the bad actors and reward the good ones, I just didn't do my due diligence...

It was okay for a while. Government started cracking down on the credit card companies and its made it much harder.

That wasn't porky, it was that fool who claimed he made tens of thousands gambling on arena football, but then when I finally got him to post his bets beforehand during the NCAA tourny, it turned out he actually lost close to 40 grand in one weekend (if he had actually made all the bets he claimed he did, which I seriously doubt). What was that fool's name?

He went under several different monikers, IIRC. He had a cherished winning ticket that he posted multiple times as "proof" of his betting prowess...
