I bet a lot of people aren't going to see a dime of this "relief" money. It will all go to corporate "bail-outs" and other well-connected billionaires in need...

"Still, the poll shows Trump with his highest approval rating since at least last fall. Forty-five percent of respondents said they approve of the job Trump is doing in office, up 4 points from 41 percent last month and 7 points from his low of 38 percent in October."
Wow, highest since at least last fall. 45%. Golf clap...

That long rant from somebody who is not a doctor that eCat posted the other day is now a talking point on Fox. Basically the narrative now is that ventilators not only don't work but that they may do more harm than good. So not only should we not blame Trump for the shortage, he now needs to be praised for saving more lives b/c of the lack of ventilators...

I haven't watched Fox but I'm not sure it was from the rant, but there are multiple first hand accounts from people that are saying fight being put on a ventilator until you have no say so in it, primarily because you lose control at that point and are at the mercy of the machine and those monitoring it. And honestly from a saturated hospital and exhausted staff standpoint, I would guess , at least perception wise, once you go on a ventilator, then they focus their efforts on someone else and let the machine do the work. That is the gist of what they are saying.
So while I'm sure someone can construe that as a discussion on the effectiveness of the ventilator, I think people just want to clarify that is should be a last resort for not only the hospital but also patient.
I suspect they did everything they could to keep Boris Johnson off a ventilator
Good to know you're thinking about me, Hedge. Much appreciated bud. Been layin' low in the weeds the past few days just watching the banter. I'll join back in when the need arises. BTW, we were one of the few counties in Kentucky that hadn't had case of Wuhan until a couple days ago. Only one reported now. Been doing the mask thingie whenever I go to the store. Must admit it's got my attention now.... especially since I'm diabetic and I'm over 65. Bummer. Rat should be thrilled.

Translation: I'm running scared for my life both literally and politically. I'm going to lay low for awhile and stop making a damn fool of myself now that I realize my savior is in over his head.

I had a support beam on my deck that was rotted, couldn't stand it anymore and decided to go to Home Depot to buy a replacement.
Wore a mask and work gloves, parking lot was almost full, capping the people in the store at 100, single entrance/exit.
Line was 40 or people deep. I about had a nervous breakdown standing there in line listening for someone to cough. I won't do that again unless its an emergency. People in line buying bags of mulch, no mask, no gloves, guy in front of me is buying a grill cover.
Past time to realize that we're killing small/medium business just because the dems/msm hate DJT. The cure is starting to become worse than the disease. All this faux altruism is pathetic.

E, Fields Ertle HD hasn't had a line the 3 times I've been in there this week. Only people wearing masks were the Mexicans and crotches.
