WASHINGTON—Screaming about how great the drug works while beating on his chest, Donald Trump reportedly overturned a presidential limousine Tuesday while touting the effectiveness of PCP in treating coronavirus. “Don’t listen to all the bulllshit—this stuff right here will make you fucking invincible against Covid!” said the commander in chief, who had angel dust all over his face and was covered in scratch marks as he ripped off all his clothes, dashed across the National Mall, and dived headfirst into the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool after dozens of Secret Service agents failed to restrain him. “I’ve been awake for 172 hours, let’s try to see that fucking virus try to get me now! Grah! Why even worry about the virus? The real thing you gotta worry about is these scorpions crawling around inside your skull!” At press time, Dr. Anthony Fauci respectfully pushed back against the president’s claims, saying that there had been no trial evidence indicating that phencyclidine was an effective means of treating Covid-19.

Insanity- horrible decision , which I assume was pushed by the GOP

Wisconsin held its presidential primary as planned Tuesday, contradicting a state-wide stay-at-home order and defying concern that the election could expose thousands of voters and poll workers to the coronavirus.

Long lines, shuttered polling stations and workers in hazmat suits marked the most unsettling and confounding contest of the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination race: a vote at the height of a deadly pandemic.

Democratic party officials had sought to postpone the election but were overruled by the top state court.

The US Supreme Court also intervened, barring an extension of voting by mail that would have allowed more people to cast ballots without going to polling stations in person.

Both courts have conservative majorities.

With the Midwestern state ignoring calls to postpone the primary, as 15 other states have already done, many Wisconsinites were being forced into an agonizing decision: risk their health to fulfill their democratic right, or stay safe by staying at home.

In Milwaukee, voter options were drastically reduced due to a shortage of polling station staff.

The city of 600,000 normally has some 180 polling locations open, but that number reportedly has been reduced to just five, prompting long lines in an era of social distancing.

President Donald Trump sent a couple of messages to America last week: You shouldn’t vote by mail, even though I do. And you might want to wear masks, even though I won’t.

Because crowded voting sites can spread COVID-19, some states are trying to expand mail-in balloting. At his Friday press briefing, Trump spat on the idea: “No, it shouldn’t be mailed in. You should vote at the booth.” The Republican National Committee, which answers to Trump, is taking legal action to stop the mail-in effort. And in Wisconsin on Monday, Republican legislators and conservative court majorities thwarted Democratic Gov. Tony Evers' attempts to postpone Tuesday's primary election and extend voting by mail. So people risked their health to vote in person.

As various news organizations have reminded us, Trump voted by mail in the 2018 midterm election and last month in the 2020 Florida primary. His defenders might claim that the intense pressure of the presidency forces him to vote from the White House. No, it doesn’t. During his tenure, he has found time for more than 200 rounds of golf. And he was in Palm Beach, his new official home, on a weekend when he could have personally cast a primary ballot at an early voting site.

Trump said yesterday the only reason for the effort to postpone the Wisc. election was because he endorsed the GOP state supreme court candidate. Let that sink in. WI couldn't get poll workers to work...polling places were shut....lines were wrapped around buildings 3x. Because of the fucking pandemic, yet he made it about himself. Which he invariably does..

horrible decision in Wisconsin, I can't believe they'd do it

on a brighter note, the models said we'd have 100K+ deaths has now been adjusted to 60K and trending downward. Americans are making this stay at home model work. Unfortunately minorities don't appear to be as dedicated to it, perhaps its because they are more likely to be in jobs serving the public and can't stay home.

Every worker deemed essential should get a significant bonus - from health care workers to grocer store stockers on the taxpayer dime. In addition their health care deductibles should be waived for 12 months after the restrictions are lifted, and if they don't have health care they should be given 12 months of Obamacare with the deductibles subsidized. I don't care what the cost is, its the right thing to do

How can we ask someone making $11 an hour working at a Kroger to endanger their lives so we can get milk and not reward them?

Burr is sure one savvy investor...

Senator Richard Burr—who was definitely not using secret information when he unloaded up to $1.7 million in stock just before the coronavirus sent the stock market into a tailspin in February, because that would be a crime—had another extraordinary bit of good timing in 2018, ProPublica reports.

Over three days in September, Burr and his wife sold off almost $47,000 worth of shares in an obscure Dutch fertilizer company when the stock was at a four-year apex—and weeks before it began a 40 percent freefall.

Investors might have turned on the company, OCI, which is not traded in the U.S., because it didn’t meet second-quarter earnings expectations. Or, ProPublica reports, maybe it had something to do with changes in the Trump administration’s trade policies that damaged the company’s outlook.

As ProPublica explains: “The company had been positioned to benefit from the expected sanctions on Iranian oil and petrochemical imports. But in November 2018, the Trump administration waived some of those restrictions. The waivers undercut the company’s hopes.”

Here we have a few potential issues: 1) Why is the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee investing in a Dutch company no one’s ever heard of that was about to strike it rich off of U.S. sanctions? 2) How exactly did he know to sell the stock of said Dutch company at just the right time, and did he know that the administration was considering waiving sanctions?

As chairman of the Intelligence Committee, Burr would have access to sensitive matters related to Iran, though it’s not clear whether or not he knew about the decision to waive sanctions. Neither Burr nor OCI responded to ProPublica’s request for comment.

Burr’s selloff in February is the subject of an FBI and Securities and Exchange Commission probe. According to a recent poll, 50 percent of North Carolina voters believe Burr should resign.

Goodbye, Bernie. We hardly knew ye.

I, for one, am dismayed. America is finally yearning and thirsting for socialism, open borders, abolishing ICE, free health care for illegal immigrants, abolishing private health plans in favor of Medicare for all, taxes that exceed our GDP, outlawing the internal combustion engine, paying reparations 150 years after slavery ended, and confiscation of private firearms.

And now that glorious and inevitable future has been postponed. Shame on you, America. You had your chance to vote for a Marxist utopia with Bernie, but you blew it. You are on the wrong side of history.

Any high ranking government officials that sold stock earlier this year and made decent money need to be investigated. These callous entitled fucks are supposed to be leading and protecting us from a global crisis, not using privileged info to grow their portfolios behind closed doors.
