Poor attempt but I credit the effort.

Do you mean physically or on the basketball court? B/c Chaney's corpse would have a good change of doing the latter this year...

Well, this has been a weird college hoops season, but what I'll remember it for is the implosion of UK and Duke in the same year. Who'da thunk it?
Media torches Duke after ugly loss to Miami

maybe the best thing about this pandemic is it has exposed the OAD model.
UK has benefitted from it but its also killed our program. I'm not sure we'll recover to be honest. You can have a shit coach and optimism will remain because of the fans connection to the program. OAD has taken that away. UK fans don't even know who the fuck is playing on this team anymore. Duke is probably a bit different but only because they got into the game late.
And younger fans will give it about 7 minutes before they pick up their phone.

Younger fans have given up on TV overall anyway. Their eyes are not the ones that the networks are getting for the games. It's old fuckers that still consume sports in that way. Every major sport is down on viewers across the networks and sports channels (e.g. the ESPNs and dedicated league networks). Younger fans watch clips or condensed games over the phone. The sport that is leading in that arena...by a mile...is the NBA.

I need to see my Lamelo highlights!
I’m sure in Brooklyn they’re tuned in...or are they still Knicks fans.

The NBA is the most enjoyable professional league to watch at the current time.

I love Melo. From the beginning I've said that the younger children are always the most successful in sports, because they have been living with the pressure for longer. Thats whether we're talking Serena, Jordan, Shannon Sharpe, etc. The kiln is preheated for those younger kids. Melo is gonna be special.
Knicks fans will stay Knicks fans. It's hard to guage the Brooklyn excitement with the stadium closed to fans. I will be at a few games when it all opens up (well shit, I'll be at Lakers, Sixers and Nets games when it all opens up. I need to get out this house).

Interesting analysis re younger children.
Jordan had two older brothers, with the one closest in age, Larry, beating the living hell out of him in their back yard off Gordon Road.
Jordan's oldest brother is a retired Sergeant Major who was in the army for 30+ years, and he still lives in Fayetteville. He's a short fucker but tough as nails and according to folks from Wilmington, every bit the athlete MJ was but held back by being short (as in 5'8" short).

I think one of the reasons many of us gravitate toward basketball is that something is happening every 20 seconds or so in the game, so if you have ADHD or some variant either clinically or more like the rest of us , culturally, its like watching 2 hours of sport clips.
Hockey,Soccer - gawd that shit drags on forever. Any sport where a score of 3-1 is a tough sell to me. I can't imagine what the youtube generation thinks of it.
Football is an outlier. Football provides just enough action to keep you interested but also enough gaps to let you gather with friends, talk shit and eat nachos. Plus, every time a football player does anything, tackle, get a first down, catch a pass, block a pass, whatever, they celebrate like they just won the lottery so it makes the fans, I believe, more attached to the minutia of the game and its pacing.

Thanks, bruh...but hold tight.
I'm off this week...for the first time in 2 years...and have no place to go. So this staycation has allowed me to luxuriate and lounge on the net more than normal. I hope to tap in more consistently, but no guarantees.
This week, though...I'll be sitting at the bar commenting on rando shit like it was 2012.
Also, is AA still around?
