Hopefully Crotch will be evicted from his home (or forced out by pitchfork) and then a good, hardworking immigrant fambly can make better use of it...

the cincinnati zoo had to furlough 174 people and they don't have enough money to cover expenses in feeding the animals

They are soliciting donations. I gave one tonight.

Wow. Trump abdicated federal responsibility for the epidemic - sent a message to Schumer saying the federal government was merely "a back-up" to the states.

Our "war-time president" has had a recurring bout of bone spurs.

so you want Trump to lead and make all decisions for states here overriding the governors.

that's what *you* really want

neither of my kids have anything to do with the zoo

one works at a local hotel. They told him last week he was able to keep his job because of the economic bailout.

in a 128 room hotel, they have 5 rooms filled.

oh wait..duh..now I get it

I'm dense sometimes.

3M is not a popular company right now

but they source over 60% of their "assembled in the US" masks from China.

I'm guessing if they stopped shipping worldwide during the crisis, China would have pulled the plug.

I don't want Trump to do anything but go home and play golf. Congress should appoint a COVID-commander-in-chief and stop this patchwork bullshit. States competing on the open market for PPE?? And he says "hey, they need to work it out." What the flying fuck kind of leadership is that?

Trump administration's lack of a unified coronavirus strategy will cost lives, say a dozen experts
Each day that passes without a national strategy, the experts say, will raise the ultimate U.S. death toll from the coronavirus. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald ... s-n1175126

The Trump administration has declined to nationalize the medical logistics system and hasn't executed a national testing strategy. Although the president likely lacks the legal authority to impose a national stay-at-home order, he has declined to urge each governor to do so. Eight states haven't imposed one, including Pennsylvania and Texas.

The results are clear: Governors and doctors report critical shortages of gear, it remains very difficult to get tested for the virus, and some Americans still aren't heeding guidance to keep away from others.

"This is not a partisan issue," said Kenneth Bernard, a retired Navy rear admiral and biosecurity expert who served in the administrations of Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. "There needs to be a central command presence on this. There needs to be a person who can act as a focal point for tests, personal protective equipment and countermeasures — acquisition and distribution. Right now, it's too fragmented and fractured, and that's counterproductive, because the states are competing against the federal government for the same sources of materials."

"It's a Sh*t Sandwich - Republicans Rage as Florida Becomes a Nightmare for Trump
https://www.politico.com/states/florida ... mp-1271172

Unbelievable. Gov. Scott purposely made it nearly impossible to navigate filing an unemployment claim - so as to boost the state employment numbers. And these are republicans making that claim - especially DeSantis's people.

I dont know about Pennsylvania, but I'm guessing like 95% of the population in Texas is under a stay at home order despite it not being statewide. Forcing the governor to declare one would be a worthless step.

It's pretty impossible to make an unemployment claim in Texas as well...but only because the phone system cant handle the call volume and the website cant handle the load unless it is 4 am.
