"Hope voters remember this during the November election. The smart ones will."

You mean the ones in her San Francisco district? Yeah, I'm pretty sure they will...

So you're pissed that Pelosi is trying to make it easier for people to participate in the democratic process, but have no problem with a $500 billion slush fund that Trump alone will "oversee." No wonder this country is fucked...

I'm sure Trump wouldn't award an inordinate amount of that $500 billion to his own businesses and properties. He just wouldn't do something like that. No way...

Where's the Flu epidemic bailout? 22k plus have already died this year. 39k last year.

A one-day delayed stimulus package versus a month and a half of blown pandemic preparation time. Probably neither one will figure into next November's election....but if I had to pick one...….

I am pissed that the repubs would use this crisis to bilk the taxpayers out of $500 billion that will get to be spent at Trump's discretion. And you should be too...

then the Dems should be focused on that

instead of trying to ram thru some horseshit green deal stuff

But, in the spirit of bipartisanship, if the repubs said "OK, forget that $500 billion part that will go to the largest corporations at Trump's discretion, but let's do the rest of the stuff that we agree on to help out the average Joe. But you dems have to drop all that other shit," and then the dems didn't agree, then yeah, I'd be pissed. As it stands, each side is trying to get "extra" shit in, the worst and most egregious of which is, IMO, $500 billion that Trump gets to dole out as he sees fit. Again, no sale...

but the senate Dems already agreed to that

Or, on the flip side, the repubs could just agree to everything Pelosi wants and then they'll get their $500 billion. I wouldn't be happy about that, but I'd accept it. That's called compromise. But whining that the dems are "holding things up" just b/c they have put extra stuff in the package (but nothing remotely as "extra" as the $500 billion that Trump gets to dole out to his hedge fund buddies (not that he has any buddies)) is just that, whining...

so basically you're saying

nevermind the Dems and Republicans had an agreement in principle on Sunday monday and were working out the details to have something ready to go on Monday

when Nancy Pelosi came in and blew it up, fuck the GOP for having a slush fund, its their fault.

oh, and its whining on the GOP for expecting the Dems to honor their good faith effort over the weekend.

I mean ALL who will vote for their House of Representative candidates this fall. Not just the nutcase Pelosi voters. Give control back to the Republicans in the House. Things will move quickly towards an economic solution. This scares the Democrats more than the virus.

TN is 4th in the SEC with 3.800 virus tests. 3rd in the SEC East - we'd be leading the SEC West if it wasn't for that backwoods TX school (how'd they even get in the conf. anyway).

No they didn't. Not without some kind of oversight besides the idiot in chief.

A 2.5 trillion dollar relief package is, if my math is right, $7800 per person in the United States

2.5 trillion/320m

I didn't realize the senate had unilateral control over everything. Doesn't matter anyway, I don't want Trump having his hands on purse strings worth half a trillion dollars. He's a crook and an idiot. Now then, if there's some oversight, OK, but Trump doesn't get to have any say in it...
