Looking at the replay, the Cubs challenged and won because the throw took the shortstop off the bag, not because the shortstop wasn't perfectly on the bag during his turn. It was a bad throw not a neighborhood play call.

That only applies to your homosexual "experimentation" with the other neighborhood kids...

somehow my wife of 17 years has turned into a Reds fan in a matter of days.
Every morning I have to now listen to a baseball update that she hears second hand from her friend who is a Reds fan - the kind that travels to spring training and shit.
Can't get her to watch a single minute of college basketball or the NFL, but the sport I have the least patience for watching sober is the one she wants to freaking talk about now.
I'm not discouraging her because I always wanted her to be more sports crazy, just about the sports I like. Hopefully this will translate to her taking more of an broader interest in other sports.

The problem is second basemen are trained to throw a bit off the bag so the shortstop can be clear of the slide. Also, even though neighborhood plays aren't reviewable, force plays are; therefore, neighborhood plays will be asked to be reviewed based on the force play. Once something is reviewable the ump has to say safe because the foot is off the bag.

Women like baseball because it is more a pedestrian and less intense viewing. I can't get my wife to go to an NBA or NFL game, but she'll will go to the ball park.

Are you saying you have more patience for it when you're drunk?

Maybe she's trying to get more action out of you in the sack. You know, "think about baseball"...

well I'd find it more entertaining.
I like scratching my balls as much as the next guy but I don't want to spend a 90 degree day at the ball park watching a man do it.

Speed Kills. Hamilton had a GREAT game Wednesday. Hopefully just a flash of what's to come. If only everyone else would start hitting.

Hamiltons speed is amazing. In the 1st one he turns a normal single into a double & the 2nd is just stunning.

The first one appears to be a double without even a play at 2B.

Last night he went 1st to 3rd on a grounder to the pitcher. He also once caught a fly ball on the warning track while playing SS in the minors.

I wonder if any of those were as great a thrill to him as getting his nutlets suckled by you in here...
