I guess I've reached that old man age where you have to watch what you are doing. Was climbing up to the attic in my workshop, missed the grab handle and did a Homer Simpson down the stairs landing on a jack stand.
I'm afraid to stop moving because as soon as I stop I'll be too sore to get up again.

eCat — I wanted to let you know you’re not alone entering Old Man Zone. I fell down the rain-slicked back deck yesterday, just taking the garbage out. That was my third fall this year. I’m 53 now and don’t remember falling at all prior to this since playing basketball on a regular basis back in the day.

I had to put that no slip tape on my deck steps. I launched my ass off of it about 3 years ago.

in terms of health and safety, I'm 100% behind the Pac 12 players demands.
I've haven't heard all the demands but I'm guessing there is BLM bullshit in there.
I understand the leverage they have, but if they were serious about their health, they would separate demands for health and safety, from getting paid for jerseys and racial equality.
Emmert isn't going to jeopardize millions of dollars in revenue for colleges, but at the same time, if what they are asking for is potentially more cumulatively over what they would lose in one season of college sports waiting out a vaccine, then he'll opt to let them not play versus cave to costly demands.

Washington State is threatening to release players from their scholarships if they join the Pac-12 player cause.
I just don't see football happening this year. Both NCAA and NFL. The closest contact sport of them all and huge rosters.
Which means the Bengals get the #1 pick again next year! Heh.

UK loses Kenny Payne to the Knicks - players loved this guy, he was a gym rat and developed relationships with players. Recruits considering UK looked forward to having that relationship with Payne
Cal instantly hires Bruiser Flint as his replacement, an old friend from the UMass days who has floundered for years trying to be a head coach. He gets in a shouting match with Miller at the end of last season and is on rocky ground at IU. Cal doesn't open it up to see who is the best available, he just extends one of the most prestigious assistant coaching jobs to an old friend
This is the bullshit that turns fans off big time. Its clear he has no interest in trying to get the best.

It's also clear he has no interest in putting more championship banners in the rafters of Rupp with this OAD stuff. Can't wait 'till this egotistical clown is out of Lex.

I love UK fans. They’ll turn on their most recent messiah quicker than Judas did Jesus.

holy fuck - That's Ryall guys
Lee Stewart, the man behind the popular @NotJerryTipton Twitter account, passed away over the weekend. He was 52. Stewart launched the parody account in 2010 to mock Jerry Tipton, the longtime UK basketball beat writer for the Lexington Herald-Leader, but over time the account shifted from Tipton imitations to roasting Kentucky’s basketball rivals, mostly Louisville,…

What was the significance of the "Johnny Ryall" moniker? I always thought that was his real name...

Damn, 52 is young. Of course from that picture he looks more like 62 (couldn't pass up one last chance to sass Ryall, I know he'd be cool with it)....

R.I.P. to an Old School Goat Penner. Ryall even threw in a Donald Trump lyric (he knew his audience well)...
Johnny Ryall
Beastie Boys
Johnny Ryall is the bum on my stoop
I gave him fifty cents to buy some soup
He knows the time with the fresh Gucci watch
He's even more over than the mayor Ed Koch
Washing windows on the Bowery at a quarter to four
'Cause he ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more
Livin' on borrowed time and borrowed money
Sleepin' on the street there ain't a damn thing funny
With the hand-me-down food and hand-me-down clothes
A rockabilly past of which nobody knows
Makes his home all over the place
He goes to sleep by falling down on his face
Sometimes known as the leader of the homeless
Sometimes drunk, man the kid's always phoneless
Sleepin' on the street in a cardboard box
He's better off drinkin' than smokin' the rocks
Johnny Ryall, Johnny Ryall
Kickin' uptown, kickin' downtown, kickin' crosstown
Johnny Ryall, Johnny Ryall
He drinks where he lies
He's covered with flies
He's got the hand me down Pumas and the tie dyes
Well, you go upstate and get your head together
Thunderbird is the word and you're light as a feather
Detox at the flop house no booze allowed
Remember the good old days with the rockabilly crowd
Memphis is where he's from (out in Tennessee)
He lives in the street but he's no bum
He's the rockabilly star from the days of old
He used to have teeth all filled with gold
He got platinum voice but only gold records
On the bass (was Boots), on the drums (was Checkers)
Louis Vuitton with the Gucci guitar
Johnny Ryall
Who do you think you are?
Johnny Ryall, Johnny Ryall
Takin' the night train, drinkin' O.E
Johnny Ryall, Johnny Ryall
One, two, three, four
One, two, three, four
One, two, three, four
One, two, three
Donald Trump and Donald Tramp living in the men's shelter
Wonder Bread bag shoes and singing "Helter Skelter"
He asks for a dollar you know what it's for
Man, bottle after bottle he'll always need more
He's no less important than you working class stiffs
He drinks a lot of liquor but he don't drink piss
He paid his dues playing the blues
He claims that he wrote the Blue Suede Shoes
Elvis shaved his head when he went into the army
That's right y'all his name is Johnny
Kick it
Johnny Ryall, Johnny Ryall

Damn, I can't believe Ryall died like that! Holy shit! I remember his name was Lee from the carnage of the Mecca campaign against him.
He posted something recently on Twitter and I saw it right after he posted it and replied with a comment along the lines of "Keep it up and you'll have Mecca in here." He literally deleted his original tweet but I got a notification that he liked my reply so he must have done that before he tweeted. I figured he was letting me know that he liked it but had to get rid of it before you know who saw it. I wonder if Mecca ever knew that he was NotJerryTipton.
Fuck, that's at least 2 of the original Goat Penners who have gone on to that great message board in the sky. Anyone else besides Ryall and Hizzy?
