That headline should've read "As far as we know right this second, the flu is a bigger threat than coronavirus"...

LOL, Tucker Carlson just popped up a "headline" from the Babylon Bee to support whatever horseshit he was peddling. More proof that Crotch had no idea that it was a joke site (although I'm sure Tucker knows, but doesn't care, as long as the headline he's citing is inflammatory enough to enrage his audience, i.e., Crotch). I'm also sure Crotch has seen it referenced as a trusted source on Fox numerous times (which is how he found out about it in the first place) and only realized it was complete bullshit when he finally, for the first time ever, read more than just a headline after I pointed out that only an idiot would believe the "article" he posted as fact the other day. Yep, that's where the typical Trump supporter gets their "information" from...

Hedge, Hedge, Hedge you silly boy. The BB is as factual as your New York Times. Yep, that's where I get all my info.....right you are. No better website for latest news. Every article has been Snoopsied, or whatever, to make sure readers aren't buffaloed by writers who would try to lead them to confusion. BTW, here's one, no matter what you say, that is as factual as snow falling in Alaska and I better not hear you dispute it either. I've almost developed a liking to you and dissing it would do serious harm to that progress.

One of my favorites...

BTW, I seldom watch Tucker Carlson. Laura Ingram is the only one on late night Fox that is entertaining.

Amid the sarcasm, the most telling thing in that post is that you truly believe the Babylon Bee is as factual as the New York Times, and I actually believe you when you say you feel that way. I'm sure Prof does too...

Of course he said it was b/c they weren't offsetting it with cuts to other spending, but that didn't stop him from voting for the whatever trillion dollar tax cut, mostly for the wealthy...

Also, and with potentially much more dire consequences, we reached the anticipated truly ominous tipping point yesterday: The total number of posts in this thread surpassed the number of posts in the hoops thread...

Wages for U.S. workers grew 4.0 percent over the last year, increasing the average wage level by $1.09 to $28.54 an hour, according to the ADP Research Institute® Workforce Vitality Report (WVR) released today. The growth, accelerating from 3.8 percent to 4.0 percent annual as of June 2019, was driven by strong wage gains for workers in the manufacturing (4.4 percent wage growth, $29.83 hourly wage) and construction (4.4 percent wage growth, $28.65 hourly wage) industries. From the service sector, information (4.2 percent wage growth, $41.56 hourly wage), trade (4.3 percent wage growth, $25.27 hourly wage), which represents 22 percent of the workforce, and professional and business services (4.1 percent wage growth, $36.45 hourly wage) were the major contributing industries.

According to the MSM and dem candidates, the above is not happening, totally fake news....ONLY the rich/wall street are benefiting in Trump's economy.

Since the H1N1 flu pandemic began in April, millions of people in the United States have been infected, at least 20,000 have been hospitalized and more than 1,000 have died, said Dr. Thomas Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Swine flu broke out in Mexico, which was essentially equivalent to the US as the corona virus is to China...

Remember Obama saying stupid shit like "the virus is a republican hoax, perpetrated by RW radio and Fox"? "People live their lives...go to work, they get better - the WHO mortality numbers are fake." "It's not our fault - the virus came from China." …? Nah, me either.

Btw 61 million Americans caught the swine flu - the mortality rate was only 0.3%. Not much different from common flu strains that actually had vaccines.

As the coronavirus continues to spread and take lives across the United States and the world, President Donald Trump on Thursday night hailed what he described as the positive economic impact of the outbreak in the U.S. as the market panic over the disease persists and the White House faces sustained backlash over its inadequate and politicized response.

“I have to say, people are now staying in the United States, spending their money in the U.S.—and I like that,” Trump said during a Fox News town hall in Scranton, Pennsylvania. “You know, I’ve been after that for a long time. You know that. I’ve been saying, ‘Let’s stay in the U.S., spend your money here,’ and they’re doing that. They’re sort of enforced doing that.”

Un -fucking -believable.

Wild week on Wall Street. Net/net it was positive, but the fluctuations back and forth were crazy. Lost some on apple this week to lower my gains from last Friday. Still netted positive on the move, but not as excited about trading as last week this time.

Did notice oil is down to $42....

"Net/net it was positive"

Thanks to a 600+ point rally in the last 50 minutes of trading today. It was actually up 750 before falling off 130 in the last 2 minutes. Even with that, it was still off over 1200 points from Wednesday's close. Going to be a roller coaster for awhile...
