not surprised he is leaving, but the timing is bad
Probably no coincidence given Cal is going to have to shed players at the end of the year

Memphis found out prior to the Tulsa game that they would be banned from postseason play this year and next, and lost 2 scholarships, and Penny would be suspended for 5 games for their role in the Kansas/Kansas State brawl.
Thus, the 40 point beating...

its pretty clear Whitney was not going to play college ball for more than 1 season, regardless of what happened.
Once he realized he was relegated to the bench and 3 bench players on an already questionable front court were getting minutes ahead of him, he packed his bags to get paid ...probably thinking he had as much potential as James Wiseman

probably the best win UK will have all season
crazy crowd at Texas Tech, starting giving out free beer at 10am.
questionable reffing - just oddball stuff, our assistant coach got into a shouting match with the scorekeeper after the game.

so that kid I've been following is starting to take off
since the "passing LeBron" story came out, Indiana called him and he got invited to sit behind the bench for the Maryland game
and WVU sent out an assistant coach to watch him game. Huggins said there is no way a kid leading the state in scoring is in the Cincinnati area and we aren't recruiting him.
so he's on his way.

Sitting in the hotel lobby in La Paz, Baja Mexico, on the way down here we saw Will Ferrell in the Delta sky lounge at LAX, talked to him for a few minutes, he asked me where my accent was from, I told him NC, turns out his parents are from Roanoke Rapids, about 45 minutes from Wilson...
Terrible news about Kobe, I flew down to Costa Rica 19 years ago right around this time of year, before total global cell phone coverage, when we got back we learned that Dale Earnhardt had died at Daytona, and now this. Sad news...
