setting up the supreme court being forced to address it once and for all

which is probably why Sotomayor has decided that as a supreme court justice she needs to speak out against the Trump administration, you know because that's the role of SCOTUS, to speak out on issues ahead of time they should may be ruling on - like whether a president should show his taxes, affirmative action and immigration.

She is the possibly the worst Supreme Court Justice in my lifetime.

So, in today's "I cant tell the difference between satire and real life" news...apparently a history professor at the University of Oklahoma, has been forced to apologize for using a racial slur. The professor was reading a historical document containing the word, and gave out a "trigger warning" letting those know it was in the document beforehand and allowing students to leave if they wished? So anyway, there apparently is an organization on the OU campus that is ready and waiting to spring into action at a moments notice when such opportunities arise, the Black Emergency Response Team! So BERT scheduled sit-ins and hunger strikes and now has a list of demands.

Students said they will be sitting at Evans Hall until their demands are met. The Black Emergency Response Team said many members would go on a hunger strike.

“To the upper administration: there will be no meetings,” said Miles Francisco, co-director of BERT, in a demand letter. “You either meet our demands or you starve us of our freedom. Join us.”

Their demands? They want a new multiracial student center that will feature meeting spaces for marginalized students, common areas, study rooms and a Popeyes restaurant.

But I did talk about Oberlin college students demanding that the cafeteria be more sensitive to Asian students in their presentation of General Tso's chicken without realizing that General Tso's is completely an American invention.

Also, if you're part of something called the Black Emergency Response Team, I'd think that group would be focused on potentially violence creating or life threatening racial issues.
