The Dodd-Frank act ended the careers of about 100,000+ people at a now non-existent company formerly called GE Capital.
Sounds like a standard right wing talking point, and forgoing for now the right's key strategy of hyperfocusing on one data point to the exclusion of understanding the system as a whole (missing the forest for the tree), our system is designed in such a way that any attempt at doing the right thing will invariably cause problems for someone else in another section of the matrix. All this does is underscore the critical point that the system is broken beyond any chance of repair.

According to the NYT, then President Obama knew the Russians were trying to hack the 2016 presidential election. Apparently, what Democrats have since called, "an equivalent of Pearl Harbor" and "an assault on our democracy" by the Russians got the typical limp-wrist "red line" response from Obama.

SAD!

And now, a comic pause....

“On Friday, CNN retracted a story published by my team. As Executive Editor of that team, I have resigned,” Haris said in a statement. “I’ve been with CNN since 2001, and am sure about one thing: This is a news organization that prizes accuracy and fairness above all else. I am leaving, but will carry those principles wherever I go.”

....fairness above all else.

You can't make this sh!te up.

Even better, Fox News took "Fair and Balanced" out of their masthead. I respect that, even if the rest of the world expressed a collective "meh, about time."

Fox News hosts (or rather, hostesses) typically only "resign" when someone hotter than them comes along, which is regularly. Or else when they stopped entertaining the sexual advances of Roger Ailes. Fox News is the Playboy mansion of cable news...

If that's the best you got, you need to resign.

Journalists who bend the truth deserve the scorn and punishment heaped on them. Fox News people only get the scorn part, rarely the punishment. Judge Napolitano being the most recent example - a short vacation for stating MI6 bugged Trump. pfft

But yeah, all news is fake because Brian Williams embellished some bullet holes. Got it.

That's funny right there. Kudos to the great state of Tennessee for this. Old Hickory would be proud. Probably even challenge Governor Moonbeam to a duel.
