And no. This wasn't me but I do admire his effort.

I'll be doing this for awhile. This is like John Lennon to my Generation

I'm still not sure how Uptown was more popular than Party Up.

Party Up was too ahead of its time...dude performed it on SNL in a trench coat, bikini bottoms and knee high boots. Most people did not know how to digest that shit.

Live you, I've been feasting on Prince content since his death set free YouTube (for now), too

I just watched he first appearance on TV - Bandstand in 1980

even then Dick Clark was talking about how Prince told record companies to kiss his ass

but his song was "I wanna be your lover".

I guess its easy to forget how Uptown and I wanna be your lover were considered pop standards. I never cared for that - I wanted the Funk and Techno.

I was partying at The Warehouse in Oxford in 1985 when Erotic City started playing in the club.

I was like "Hell yeah...this is my jam!", and the girls at the table with us, who were from small southern MS towns, had no clue what they were hearing. They sure were hot, though...love me some southern girls...

I just watched videos of that song and "Gett Off" on youtube, as well as the original videos for "Mountains" and "Seven", which I had not seen in years...great stuff!

Prince and Eddie Murphy are the two guys you look back on the 80's now, and say, those guys were geniuses. At the time, you didn't realize how trailblazing they were, you just had fun with it.

Yeah, ironic on the drug policy...if he indeed died from prescription pills.

The interviewer needs to post subtitles because I can't hear her questions.

Sad that it's probably going to take another 15 for the next one.
