when my nephew was born in Lexington, the Cats were playing in the tournament and they had the game piped into the delivery room for the doctors and nurses

Got married during the tourney in March. You know how hard it was to sneak down to the sports bar on the cruise ship? No wonder it didn't work.

Heading to Chapel Hill to watch the season opener against Notre Dame. They sucked last year and were picked to finish 7th in the ACC this year, but they're mostly seniors and upperclassmen, so they will probably have an advantage against a team full of freshmen and newcomers. We'll see...

I don't think many expected Coby to be a one and done, but hoped he would be a two and done. Sure would've loved to see Coby and Cole together, that would've been something...

I wasn't impressed with Coby at the start of the season but he progressed well - I haven't heard alot about him in the NBA but what little I have he appears to be having a very good start to the season.

Cole Anthony's stat line last night: 34 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists. 12-24 from the field, 6-11 from the 3, 4-5 from the line. Most points ever scored by a Carolina player in his debut game, topping Rashad "Team Cancer" McCants's 28 in 2002. I doubt he'll keep up that 3 point percentage, but if he can keep it close to 40%, we should be OK...

During one of Phil Ford's first games, Ford did something that made everyone stop and blink. I can't remember what it was. Legend has it that Coach Smith turned to the assistants, looked around to make sure no one else could hear or see what he was saying, smiled and said "Gentlemen, we have ourselves a player."

I have a feeling Coach Williams has said the same thing in Chapel Hill over the past few weeks...

Actually that was the most points scored by anyone in their first game in ACC history...

Coby can score 30 at any time but he can also be held to 5 or less. He'll be a good NBA player for a long time once he gets more consistent.

Cole Anthony is like Derrick Rose in his prime. Just relentless.

Back-to-back one and done's for Roy at point guard, with both of them starting and getting plenty of minutes. That should help with recruiting...

Coby was really good. He had some great games and showed a lot of skill and potential.

Anthony looks like D Rose in his prime. He might be one of the all time greats if he stays healthy and catches the right breaks.
