I don't know anybody on UK's team this year. Usually they're so hyped you've at least heard of some of them or else UNC had tried to recruit a couple of them so you had seen their names before, but not this year. Not saying the UK freshmen are no good, but it doesn't seem like there's the really big names they've typically had in the past.

Irregardless, I"m sure they're loaded with 5 star talents and I'm sure they all saw the opening game last year and I'm pretty sure at the very least they are not going to come out flat, and even if they do, I don't think Michigan St. has the horses to steamroll UK this year like Duke did last year. But I bet they're going to come out very fired up. They don't want to be saddled with a national embarrassment type of loss like last year's squad had to endure...

I watched about 10 minutes of the Kentucky State game and I think Michigan St is going to beat us by 18 based on that.

Its hard to watch these teams at the start of the year, and maybe on 3 guys on the team was around for the Duke game , maybe Hagans was a starter but if he was he had limited minutes.

Well it's not like Michigan St. has a lot of games under their belt either...

well in comparison they do, given their stud player is a senior

Not terribly impressed with either of these teams so far. Poor Duke, what a far cry from last year. At least we won't be seeing them 24/7 on ESPN this year...

Duke scored 59 points in the first half of their opener against UK last year. They managed to put up 33 in the first half tonight. Turnovers galore by both teams and bricking 3's. I like it...

Michigan St doesn't look like a #1 team early on, Hagans is looking really good

I can't stay up any longer, I have to get up at 5am tomorrow

I would guess at worst it will be a pick em, but UK may be getting a couple of points. After the national ass-raping they got at the hands of the hated Blue Devils in last year's opener, I'd be willing to risk a small amount that at the very least they're going to come out pretty fired up to avoid another such embarrassment. Man, that was brutal...

That being said, if those were the top 4 teams in the country last night, this year is going to be wide open...

Maxey was supposed to be a star this year but I don't think he was picked to be the best shooter. A kid that got limited play, Yuzang is supposed to be a lights out shooter. He must not do much else otherwise he'd be getting big minutes too.

I watched most of the second half this morning. It was sloppy but given UK's schedule, our next major test will be against UL at the end of December. We could be ranked #1 for almost 45 days barring no slip up

Cam Johnson's brother, Puff, committed to UNC last night. He's 6'7" with a 7'1" wingspan. Should be a solid 3-4 year guy for us. This is one of Roy's best recruiting classes since he's been back at Carolina, a great mix of 5 stars and long term guys, which I like...

again, funny how recruiting is when shoe companies stop paying kids to go to coaches on the take.

Duke is the lone exception

I doubt we're going to be needing any grad transfers in the foreseeable future, even though the last one turned out pretty well (Cam Johnson) and the two we got this year should be pretty good...

So, my daughter could be born during the latter stages of the tournament.

I hope the wife doesn't mind the television in the labor and delivery room if Carolina is playing...
