Walker Kessler just committed to Carolina despite folks thinking he was a lock for Dook.

Roy is going to make another title run or two, ensure the cupboard is stocked with solid players and that the program is in a position wherein it can still pull in elite talent who will declare early and head on down to Wrightsville with Wanda and the grandkids.

Kessler has seen what K has done (or rather, not done) with recent whitey bigs, so he made the right decision. We already have 6'10" 5-star Day'Ron Sharpe coming in next year and should have senior Garrison Brooks back as well. Sterling Manley and Brandan Huffman will be seniors as well and hopefully will be able to provide something by then. That's 5 guys 6'10" or taller and none of them skinny. Of course, Bacot could be back, but I'm hoping he has an NBA lottery pick type of season this year and will be gone. At any rate, that type of front line is right in Roy's wheelhouse in terms of style of play. Should be fun...

Roy is at his best when he has enough quality bigs to rotate in and out for a two man, traditional front court. Carolina won’t be playing that small ball shit this year or next year (health permitting), and I’m happy about that.

Hedge: K is the one has/had a place just north or EI at Indian Beach or Pine Knoll Shores, but I think he has a place at Figure Eogjt these days (understandable since rodents prefer seclusion) and drives all of the grandkids down to the beach in a damned passenger van per my new father in law (long time Iron Duke and season ticket holder).

Roy has/had the infamous Isle of Palms house (where be decided to stay at KU in 2000 after telling Dicky Baddour he was coming). Heck, my buddy has run into Roy jogging down there on more than one occasion, but a bunch of my friends have seen him at WB this summer. So, Roy must have a place there now.

Dave Odom still has his place in EI though!

I have to imagine if Kansas is going down, Arizona isn't far behind. Miller was busted big time

Kansas.......

The University of Kansas received its notice of allegations from the NCAA on Monday, which includes potentially devastating allegations toward the men’s basketball program, according to multiple sources.
Kansas has been charged with lack of institutional control, three Level I violations in men’s basketball and there is a head coach responsibility charge against coach Bill Self, according to multiple sources.

I don't know what to think about this article in the New Republic on cancel culture.

Its thought provoking but the writer seems to support Dave Chappelle in one instance and then says his act shouldn't rely on old tired routines and should change to newer sensitivities of the younger audiences.

https://newrepublic.com/article/155141/ ... ane-gillis

and its not just cancel culture. NPR is like hitting my thumb with a hammer that I can't stop doing. The show 1A is especially a point of my ire because they never have a guest on that represents a viewpoint over the age of 35 (unless their purpose there is to be setup as the unmovable inflexible out of date Boomer who has ruined the planet for everyone following them)

Did you see that the guy who had a "send beer money" sign on College Gameday got sent thousands of dollars, decided to donate it to charity, and used the publicity to get matching donations into the 7 figures, and then some fucking asshat at a newspaper in Iowa dug up a tweet from when the guy was 16 and got people to bash the guy. So some kid, who got sent thousands of no strings attached money that he could have pocketed, instead uses the platform to raise millions for charity, had to fucking apologize for tweets out of the whole thing.

It also seems to have rebounded and now the journalist himself is having his tweets rifled through and might get fired over the whole thing...

You would think reporters would start thinking twice about anything they may have ever posted anywhere on the internet at any time in their lives before they started "outing" anybody on similar charges...
