Stop posting pictures of tattoos!! And that clip of T. Pryor is over 2 years old! I have officially determined that there is nothing newsworthy or uplifting about all this tattoo talk! Keep that stuff off the Alabama thread!

Heh at Prof.... but at least it's pertinent to the tattoo discussion. And I hope Foster keeps the tat... at least that way AU fans will get to see SOMETHING that has to do with the university on a championship field in the next few years...

Had enough of Johnny Football....will be rooting whole-heartedly for Bama to cream that team this fall.

To me, the jury is still out on Mr. Johnny Football. His off-field issues might be a sign of character flaws and indiscipline that will manifest themselves as poor performance this year. Or, his lifestyle might have no impact on his productivity at all. He might do like the Miami Hurricanes did in the 80's; he might put down the bong, dismiss his hooker from his room, and go out there and stomp his opponents on Saturdays. We'll see.

GBJ, it's almost that time of year again. As the season fast approaches, either you or AA must post the annual G,BIIT message. You must grimly note Bama's lack of talent, experience, depth, coaching, a brutal schedule, and all the other reasons why the Tide will be lucky to eke out a winning season.

AA has been scarce of late, so this important ceremonial function may devolve to you. Do us all proud, sir. It wouldn't be a proper season opener without it.

At the end of the 1st half...

kidding aside, it will be a 10-point game if both teams play their best.

The Hokies ain't what they used to be. Alabama will mulch them. 31-10.

A 31-10 loss would be about as positive an outcome as Virginia Tech can reasonably expect, in my opinion. I wasn't sandbagging when I said 42-7-- I'm actually afraid it might be worse. This could pass the 48-7 woodshed job LSU laid on VT in Baton Rouge in 2007 to become the biggest loss VT has suffered under Frank Beamer. VT's defensive front seven ought to play well, even with the loss of Ronnie Van Dyke, but I just don't see much chance for VT's talent-starved and injury-riddled offense to move the ball against Alabama, much less score, and VT's defense isn't so good that it can stay on the field against McCarron, Cooper, Yeldon, et al., without eventually getting trampled.

Don't feel too bad, JRB. There are only two or three teams in CFB that can hang with Bama right now, and they're all in the SEC.

Other programs that could normally compete with them - Texas, USC, OU - are all broke down right now.

Prof, we'd have to borrow at least 3 NFL draft choice offensive linemen to have an opportunity at a successful season. Alabama does not have a lack of talent, it's just not proven in big games. Or any game for that matter. So the depth while there, it's truly inexperience which will do us in.

AA, if nothing else, is an eternal optimist. He believes we can come within 10 points of the VT juggernaut... G,BIIT...

Well done, sir. Well done. Almost up to AA's lofty standards of sandbaggery. You also did a masterful job of hiding the intermittent gales of laughter while you were typing it.

Now that the annual G,BIIT preseason post has been made, the CFB season may now begin.
