Googled the marigold thing. Many people said it didn't work, some said it did work, and several said that the deer wouldn't eat the marigolds (usually) but they'd walk by them to get at other things.

ecat, get a bag of hair clippings from your local barber shop and spread them around the perimeter of your garden and you won't have any more varmints.

it's not a Wiccan method, it's the vitalis and such on the hair that scares off the critters.

I wasn't talking Wiccan shit either! Woodland creatures fear gnome farts more than anything (they are deadly poison to varmints). A Gnome ass-up will scare rabbits and dears and such shitless. I said southwest corner because I've been to eCat's home at night many times and thats the most obvious approach the critters are taking to his garden.

I don't know about rabbits but dears laugh at gnome's asses.

The human scent from the hair will keep them away. Also get a few sticks of deodorant, pull them out of the dispenser and place them around the garden.

Or hire a long-haired, homeless man with a strong "human" scent to stand back in your yard at all hours. It's less embarrassing than going to your barber to ask for Vitalis-soaked hair from the floor so you can take home to "scare the deer away." They won't judge you nor suspect you may be bending the truth (you freak) for that request, no sirree.

just picked the boy up from a week at scout camp

one boy 2 tents down decided he heard racoons outside his tent so he decided that it was a good idea to take a shit in the middle of the tent instead of going out to the latrine and face possible mauling by rabid racoons. So the next day his tent mate gets up, sees and throws a fit.

So they made him (the shitter) and his tent mate clean it up. His tent mate said fuck this, I ain't cleaning up this guy's shit, I'm calling momma to come get me so he bailed on Wednesday.
