Rush was sincerely surprised that Trump gave him that award last night. You could tell by his reaction that it was totally unexpected and unscripted...
especially when Drudge runs an article saying Limbaugh will be awarded it yesterday morning.
it was a good speech - it was a campaign speech, but he hit hard on the things that mattered to his base. Pelosi ripping up the speech at the end says it all. Its been a rough week for Democrats.
can't get the president found guilty, can't counter on the economy, jobs, stock market, terrorism and foreign policy in general, and she just sat thru a speech that had a young mother fist pumping the president going after late term abortions, a young black girl getting awards a scholarship to a select school, a 100 year old Tuskegee Airman being awarded a honorary general title while his grandson is slotted to go into the Space Force (ok, that sounds like a made up name but Air Force probably did too back in the day) , and a brother of a man killed by an illegal alien crying when he hears he has the right to sue sanctuary cities for catch and release policies that led to his brothers death
damn, it was a bad night to be Nancy Pelosi. After the acquittal today she will have nothing to offer the American people - and their big attack model now for the 2020 nomination is health care which 2 of the top 4 democrats want to be dismantled to take away private insurance from 180 million Americans - while at the same time trying to convince Americans that they can run health care for 360m Americans when they can't even count votes correctly in the first voting of the election.
Now throw in their centrist, Biden, is seriously flawed and only now do they seem to realize it, Sanders is the guy that gets the crowds but are they really going to run a guy who honeymooned in Russia against a narrative of Russian collusion on Trump? and the DNC Perez suddenly changes the rules to let Bloomberg, with < 1% of the vote/polling get on the stage with the front runners. The Dems have some problems.

"Yeah. Even though it was announced hours beforehand"
I guess you didn't detect my sarcasm when I said Rush was surprised and that it was totally unscripted...

I love how all the #TeamRed folks have to live their lives with the knowledge (assuming that they would even be capable of such introspection) that they actually voted for the dastardly Romney and McCain.

Well, that’s that.
The first attempted coups in American history, which started on November 9 2016 (the day Trump was elected), ended today, February 5 2020 (the day Trump was exonerated).
I always thought today would be a big day, but it turned out to be so incredibly anticlimactic.
It roared in like a lion, with breathless reports that there was absolute proof Trump colluded with Russia. Bets were being placed on whether Trump would survive the year.
It ended today with a whimper. The historic exoneration was drowned out by - condignly - the larger story of the Democrats’ complete inability to count their own votes in thinly populated Iowa.
And the gifts just keep giving. The Democrats are on the path to nominate a 78 year old Marxist who wants to spend $97 trillion and take away everybody’s private health care plan.
Life is good.

With that being said, it's time all you pathetic liberal losers to get on board the TRUMP TRAIN and feel what it's like to be a winner again.

Coup. That's rich and typical. I sure wish I could have had no witnesses to testify or documents presented against me at my trials. I'm betting El Chapo is thinking the same. The Great American Cover Up is over. Americans all lose in the end. Sad.
