And $150 billion is a high-end estimate and the one with the least evidence to support it. The high-end estimate from the U.S. Treasury Department in 2015 was $56 billion, and outside analysts believed the number could be lower.

Okay, let's say it was $56 billion Obama gave to the Iranians. That's plenty outrageous enough.

He didn't give it to them you dolt, which you may or may not have been able to comprehend if you'd read the rest of the article. But the fact that you're pissed about another Trump lie pleases me. Almost worth it to give money to terrorists just to watch you squeal...

Oh I read the article alright. Here's the part you and all the other Iran sympathizers and Solemani mourners are ignoring:

We had the money. It was ours. We owned it. It was in our banks accounts. It might well have been stored at Ft.Knox. That's what the word "ours" means.

Furthermore, we DESERVED it. Screw the Iranains and the camels they rode in on. If you want words, call it reparations for seizing our embassy and holding our embassy staff hostage for 444 days, or any of the other crap the Iranians have been doing against the US and our allies for the past 40 years. The idea that it was "their money" is an incredibly childish, naive and stupid fiction. That's like paying a court fine and then going to the court and demanding you want the money back because you think it's still "your money."

When normal people say Obama "gave the Iranians the money" it is because Obama gave the Iranians the money. To be specific, Obama gave them the money by sending a plane to Tehran and off loaded billions of dollars in cash. That is what the words "gave them the money means" in the English language.

It really isn't all that complicated.

Seems as if news doesn't arrive at Hedge's domicile as quick as it does to others. Guess that's what happens when the only channel you get on your 19" black and white Philco is CNN.

U.S. Sent Cash to Iran as Americans Were Freed

WASHINGTON—The Obama administration secretly organized an airlift of $400 million worth of cash to Iran that coincided with the January release of four Americans detained in Tehran, according to U.S. and European officials and congressional staff briefed on the operation afterward.

Wooden pallets stacked with euros, Swiss Francs and other currencies were flown into Iran on an unmarked cargo plane, according to these officials.

BREAKING: The Wall is on the way
Appeals court approves diverting $3.6B in military construction funds for Donald Trump border wall plan

The decision from the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, based in New Orleans, lifts an injunction issued last month in Texas that blocked the reallocation plan.

In the 2-1 ruling, judges granted the administration's request to temporarily halt the nationwide injunction from U.S. District Judge David Briones of El Paso. Congress appropriated the $3.6 billion to the Department of Defense for 127 construction projects, Briones had ruled, so the Trump administration shouldn't divert it to the border wall.

The appeals court judges said the Supreme Court recently halted a similar injunction, but gave no specific reason for ruling in the administration's favor.

Ahem: Euros, Swiss Francs and other currencies ARE cash. And the Treasury Department said the total payments were around $56 billion. That is "billion" with a b. You are clearly on your beloved heroin right now.

Even CNN reported the payments in the billions (hedge, note the "b" as in billion) in cash from Obama to Iran, so hedge has no excuse:

Obama did not send billions of dollars of any currency that was offloaded from planes. Didn't happen. You're wrong again. Or else lying. Not that you know the difference...

You're the one that looks foolish, Crotch, but, fortunately for you, you have an audience of about 5 (in here and in real life), so in essence, nobody cares....

Not denying that we gave back (plus interest) money that we had gotten from Iran 40 years ago and put in a trust fund. $1.7 billion, most of it sent from European banks, but $400 million sent in foreign currency on a plane from the US. But we didn't send them $150 billion in cash and they actually didn't get nearly that much in any event. Also, it was their money that we and other of our allies had frozen in various accounts throughout Europe due to sanctions, so in no world did we just write them a check (or send currency) totally out of our coffers. It was their money to begin with, we un-froze it as part of the nuclear deal. Now, you may not like that deal, but those are the facts. And I actually would prefer that they have some rockets and missiles rather than a nuke, but evidently some in here prefer the latter. I'm sure your grandchildren will be thanking you for that long after you're dead...

Cardi B says she’s planning to file for citizenship in Nigeria after taking a dig at President Donald Trump for his part in the increasing tensions between the U.S. and Iran.

The 27-year-old “Money” singer took to Twitter shortly after Trump ordered an airstrike that killed Iran's top general, Qassem Soleimani. The killing sparked several memes and concerns on Twitter of a conflict between the two nations, and Cardi weighed in.
