Seeding doesn't make that much of a difference. UNC could have been a 2 and lost to Auburn like UK did. Tennessee showed they weren't a bona fide #1 either since the barely made the Sweet 16 and lost when they got there.
The OAD era started in 2006 when the NBA changed its draft rule. It really took off in 2010 when Cal took over at UK. 2 titles in that stretch by OAD teams is proof it's a shitty model for winning titles. I wouldn't even call this UK team a OAD team since there's only one guy that fits that mold. Shit, Carolina has more than that this year. Now it looks like UNC may get more of those players but I almost wish Roy would just keep digging up Luke Mayes and Kenny Williams

there may only be one guy but we'll lose Herro, Johnson and Hagans will try to go until some NBA scout pulls him aside and tells him the truth.
Kentucky will be worse next year, especially if we don't land Matthew Hurt

in a warped way it worked out for all of us
none of our teams made it
and Duke loss hurts their fans the most.
I can live with any of those teams winning a national championship, admittedly now I hope its not Michigan State

Yep. It ended for us like that scene in Reservoir Dogs when they all had the drop on one another and ended up shooting each other
Hoping UVA wins because I picked them. I was a little more invested in this UNC team than in recent years because of Coby White but he's going to leave like all the others so that's what I get for getting attached.
Hope K decides he's had enough and dook goes back to the shitpile, where they were when I first started paying attention to college hoops in the mid 70s

As an SEC fan I don’t think the ACC is overrated in B-ball. Their teams are everywhere in the tournament and nearly always in the final four. This year is no exception. Their two big names are gone, but there’s UVa. The Big Ten is similar.

I don't know how many years K has left but he was talking before the game about how he doesn't want the OAD to end yet
Not sure he still has that opinion tonight

The SEC has Kentucky, who have been awesome since Adolph Rupp. But after them, a series of upstart “flavors of the month” as somebody called them. This year’s flavor of the month just happened to be Auburn. But we may not be back until there is a Lunar Regional Bracket.

I'm here, fartknocker. Maybe they didn't teach you reading comprehension at that fake UNC class you took with the UNCheat FB and hoops teams, but like I said regardless of what happened tonight, Duke had success this season that the choking Holes could only envy: ACC Tournament Title (including a win over your boys) and a trophy in the case, making it to the Elite Eight and not getting ass-rammed in the Sweet 16. #1 seed my ass! I wouldn't trade our season for the underachieving-ass team you and your butt buddies Saint and Hedge pull for. Wallow in your deserved misery!
You are hanging your hat on a goddamned conference tournament championship? That is fucking pathetic
Let’s play a game and compare two coaches over the past four years. Can you guess who the coaches are?
Coach 1
* 16 Five Star Recruits
* Recruiting Class Rankings: 2; 1; 1; 1
* 5 Wins Against Arch-Rival
* 9 NCAA Tournament Wins
* 0 Final Fours
* 0 National Championships
Coach 2
* 3 Five Star Recruits
* Recruiting Class Rankings: 70; 14; 19; 14
* 6 Wins Against Arch-Rival
* 14 NCAA Tournament Wins
* 2 Final Fours
* 1 Runner Up Finish
* 1 National Championship

someone better hire that Texas Tech coach
dude lost his scorers and had to rebuild at a football school in Texas - and lands on a final four after just coaching for 4 years?
he's on his way.

I don't believe arch rival is hyphenated but otherwise fine work, DS. Too bad it's wasted on a dook dipshit

BBN fans starting to sound off on Calipari's 'bench coaching'.......
When Coach “Process” came to Kentucky he declared us “the gold standard of college basketball “….
Since then this coach had shown us he is a great person, great recruiter, but a horrible bench coach who is one dimensional, stubborn, and enforces a flawed approach.
He’s embarrassed our once proud program with losses to West Virginia, Robert Morris, Wisconsin, Kansas State, Tennessee, and this year…we won nothing: no conference championship, no conference tournament championship, and for the sixth season in a row… NO NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP!
Additionally, Coach Calipari hasn’t gained anything on UCLA as he ran his mouth and predicted after 2012…
And lets not listen to the stupid statements about “oh… he passed Adolph Rupp in tournament wins” and “he won an NCAA Championship in 2012…”
Do the math BBN….
IMO..Calipari couldn’t carry RUPPS toilet paper to the gym, and since he stepped foot on campus at UK… Duke, Villanova, UConn, have all won more than Coach “I tried everything”!
How about you resign Calipari?
How about you let another real coach come in to Kentucky, return us to the gold standard of college basketball, clean up your mess, while you go sell automobiles some place!
FIRE CALIPARI! The most overrated and under achieving coach in div one college basketball!
GO BIG BLUE!

According to prosecutors, Person said: "Don't say nothing to anybody. ... Don't share [payoffs] with your sisters, don't share with any of the teammates, that's very important cause this is a violation ... of rules, but this is how the NBA players get it done, they get early relationships, and they form partnerships."
Neither Person nor his attorney had any comment for reporters after the hearing.
If you want to be the man you gotta cheat like the man.

Hey asshat, we're talking about THIS year. I get that in a year your team crapped the bed as a #1 seed and couldn't get past the Sweet Sixteen, and lost to Duke as Duke won the ACC tourney, you want to deflect attention from those facts. As far as the ACC Tournament goes, if UNCheat doesn't care about the ACC Tournament, do us all a favor and
STAY THE FUCK HOME. Either you're going for a title or you aren't. You guys underachieved this year, OWN IT.

interesting note from yesterday
Both UK and Duke attempted 21 3 pointers in their games
something they normally wouldn't do because of their inside presence.
Its more baffling with Auburn because they lost their insider defender and we had them in foul trouble.
Hagans was incapable of getting the ball to Washington.
