Cletus wrote:A big problem we have in this country is that people like you are not going to get any smarter or less racist in the near term. And, there are just enough of you in the right places to make a tragic difference in the federal elections.
Outstanding.

Absent from this line of thinking is that just barely enough of those "racist" voters in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, Florida, and most importantly Michigan, were somehow not quite racist enough to vote for white Romney over black Obama in 2012. Maybe because he was only.... half black?
Cletus wrote:It's a given that Trump is going to do several horrible things in the time he's in office, things that will unquestionably make your life worse. Maybe that will be enough to turn the tide but I fear that you people are just too stupid and too racist, will decide that your issues are due to foreign brown people, and you'll double down on the Trump movement.
This is excellent, magic thinking.

Cletus believes that 600,000+ racists in Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Florida, and Pennsylvania are selectively racist. These particular racists are only racist against brown people (illegal Hispanic immigrants, Persians, and Arabs) but not racist against black people (because they voted for Obama.) This explains black Trump lovers like Omarosa Manigault and Mike Tyson. They can love Obama and Trump at the same time AND be racist against brown people. This is outstanding logic you have come up with. I commend you. You've got a winner here. :ugeek:

Please Cletus, I implore you, never-ever change the way you think. Or if you change, at least wait until December 1st 2020 to change and (under no circumstances) do I want you to sit down and deeply think about your philosophy on racism. I want you to wait until that December because I don't want you to sit down and discuss rationally with anyone who may agree with you about Trump, as to any other reason (other than racism) for Trump's victory. Thank you.

"Racist," along with sexist, homophobic, transphobic, and Islamophobic, are what liberals call everything they don't like.

Was it raining this morning? It's a racist storm.
Did the rain cause a wreck on the highway on your way to work, causing a traffic jam? It was a racist car wreck.
Did the boss scold you for being late to work? Then the boss is a racist.

Etc. etc. etc.

I was too lazy to look up which day in November the 2020 POTUS elections was. So I said first day in December, to cover myself. By then (if Cletus is still as woefully ignorant as his is currently) it will (hopefully) be too late for him to figure out what I KNOW happened in 2016 (and why all those Obama voters swapped sides), and that is one less person I need to worry about spreading the truth to the dems on what they need to do to beat Trump in his re-election bid....

...I actually don't find that much fault with Cletus here in his racism rants. To be perfectly honest, I don't even think the "establishment" GOP has the first clue as to why Trump won but Romney lost. They are still playing with the old playbooks. Fortunately for all of us, Trump was playing the game with his own rules, rules in which only he knew what to follow in order to win.

Exactly.

If everything in your mind is racism (the way it is with Cletus and others) then.... you don't have to think deeply and you don't have to listen to people. You don't have to even dignify the beliefs and values of others. If their political thoughts are different than yours, then it simply MUST be racism. That is the only logical explanation. It can't be anything else.

I was too lazy to google the day of the November election in 2020, so I said December 1st. Cletus uses the word racism because he is too lazy to think. :)

So neither of you geniuses think that racism plays any part in how some people think and vote?

Very little. Maybe some old folks in Alabama and Mississippi. A few sprinkled here and there.

Despite the liberal obsession with racism, people in between the coasts don't care much about race. Proof: this country that liberals believe is one great big Ku Klux Klan meeting, voted for a black man for president twice. Those blue collars in the Rust Belt voted for that black man before they voted for that orange man, and made him president.

Also, one of the leading vote-getters in the GOP primaries was a black man - Ben Carson. So all those supposed Klansmen that comprise the Republican Party have no problem voting for a black person for president, despite the leftist mythology.

I can give you a lengthy list of black people I would vote for in a heartbeat. Most non-coastal Americans could too.

A little, but there is a bigger hatred than race going on here. A hatred of privileged liberal whites that impose rules on them that they themselves do not have to suffer the consequences. The Clinton effect. As liberal whites expand their carbon footprint jetting back and forth to their iron mans, golf trips, award festivals whilst preaching environmentalism, free borders, etc.; the lower income in inner cities and in Appalachia have their livelihoods torn apart by crime and joblessness brought on by such policies.

They voted for Barack Obama, an African American with a muslim name at the height of the Iraq War. To say they are racist is a fallacy. The Brown skins they don't like are the ones that are infiltrating Europe's inner cities causing a rise in crime and poverty there. They don't want that here, but they see white elites, living behind their gated communities, leading us down that path.

You know, racism is about more than just hating American blacks? Trump's whole campaign was about making America great again. Who was the problem? Mexicans and Muslims (and to a smaller degree, Asians). The entire message was that your life is a mess because these others are coming in and stealing your jobs and raping your women. HIs solution was to kick these people out or keep them out and, true to his word, he started on that mission right away. If you think that this was anything other than a fear and race based campaign, you are delusional.

Race/racism is a major contributor to the bottom line for the msm, not to mention the race hustlers. This gold will continue to be mined by libs running for office/media/entrepreneurs for generations.

It is amazing what people choose to ignore. The travel ban hurts what, maybe 15% of the total Muslim population in the world, but LORDY BEE!! IT IS A BAN ON MUSLIMS YOU RACIST PIG!!

I bet Cletus believes that only white people can be racist. I'm sure he wakes up from his $3000 bedroom suite each morning, looks in the mirror and is guilty for all that white privilege he has.

Again this is why Trump won. You can dislike people for their actions and it doesn't have anything to do with race. However the moment you say you don't trust MOST Muslims, well, racist for life.

It is simply exhausting and NO, I don't have to agree with what you THINK is right or wrong.

Incorrect. You say that Trump's message was racist and gobbled up by Republicans, who are also racists by definition: Non-coastal people instantly understand that only a few illegals are violent criminals. But they also realize that many of those that ARE violent criminals ARE NOT punished (google Kate Steinle). Most non-coastal people do not understand, and will never understand, why the US is the only country in the world which is not allowed to have borders. We are not obligated to let anybody come in, for any reason, at any time. Normal people think that's just crazy. Or, if you will, delusional.

Also, non-coastal people who are near the bottom of the economic ladder have every reason to object to mass illegal immigration. Theirs are the first jobs that are lost to the vast ocean of cheap labor. If illegals were a threat to the jobs of Apple executives or hedge fund managers or K Street lawyers or college professors or NPR announcers or vegan grocery store owners or Starbucks baristas or tattoo artists, the wall would have been built by the Democrats long ago, complete with electric wires, mines, gun towers, and Rottweilers.

PS: RE: The Muslims. Non-coastal people watch and read the news. And they can't help noticing that a significant act of terrorism happens often somewhere in the world. They also can't help noticing that virtually every act of terrorism anywhere in the world are committed by Muslims. But the Democrats keep insisting that non-coastal people ignore that blatant reality. We are not allowed to connect the hundreds of dots. Obama wouldn't even use the word "Islamic" and "terrorist" in the same paragraph. Most normal people call that delusional.

Non-coastal people watch what some practitioners of the Religious of Peace have done to Syria, Iraq, Somalia and Iran, and they don't want it here. They are okay with receiving real refugees, but they want a reliable system that ensures the human melanoma cells can't infiltrate in here and metastasize. Democrat-run US cities already look too much like Aleppo. We don't want any more. Most normal people believe that doing otherwise is delusional.

Not sure why prof disrespects TX, MS, AL, GA, FL, SC, NC and AK with all of this "non-coastal" bidness. Surely to pete he's lay drunk on a Redneck Riveria beach a time or two back in the day. Butchering the words to Buffet songs, surrounded by Natty Light empties..

Just say blue states and red states ffs. You know...the smart ones vs the dumb ones, the healthy ones vs the obese ones, and the financially viable ones vs the ones who suck up the most federal funds.
