Ya gotta love Pete
"What are they going to do next, you can't break up a double play?" Rose said in a telephone interview with The Associated Press after MLB announced its plan Wednesday.
"You're not allowed to pitch inside. The hitters wear more armor than the Humvees in Afghanistan. Now you're not allowed to try to be safe at home plate?" Rose said. "What's the game coming to? Evidently the guys making all these rules never played the game of baseball."

I agree. The MLB fascist rules have prevented runners from trying to be safe at other bases for years now! We should be going the other way!

Canseco was clearly on the juice due to all those little face tics he used to have in the batter's box.

Canseco was with the blue jays for a bit too, apparently his bare back had more acne than the front row of a One Direction concert

That dude's buddies don't even appear to notice that he fell, much less attempt to help him...

Looked like he got sniped in the leg. Just put in a gunshot right before he falls. Made me chuckle.

the slow motion falls like that are the funniest - like they are just dragging out the fall for maximum effect

I'll bet you felt like you were falling in slo-mo when you slammed into the icy pavement. But only for a second.

I had time enough to think "its going to hurt if I land on these boxes so throw them" but not enough time to think "throwing them into the bushes is probably a bad idea"

That's like the time I fell off my roof from about 12' up when the top of the ladder snapped and I plunged, at first, headlong towards the steps and the pavement before I managed to grab the roof and right myself so that I just gently dropped down from about 5'. I ripped up my fingers on the shingles though. Still, that fall was like slow-motion at the beginning and then it was over before I knew it and I hadn't killed or maimed myself.
I still get queasy going on the roof now even though the whole thing happened because I had the ladder at a 45º angle and it couldn't handle my 220 pounds coming down off the roof.

Now, that I am in my mid 40's I have retired myself from the roof. The agility is not what it used to be. No sense in even trying. Besides, that's what teenage sons are for.
It's pulling teeth to get teenagers to do anything, but when it has going up on the roof as part of it, they are all over it.

220? That must've been many years ago...
