Prof, 17 U.S. intelligence agencies said Russia hacked into the DNC (and the RNC) and the Director of National Intelligence released a report last month stating Putin ordered an "Influence Campaign" on the 2016 presidential election. Your deflections about Chavez and Castro are duly noted, however.
Your "Hillary-was-worse" tack has a satisfying air of desperation about it, I have to admit. Hope to hear "at this point what does it matter" a few more times for old times sake. Btw - wouldn't it be a kick to see how The Donald would hold up in just one Benghazi-style hearing? Talk about must-see TV.. hooboy.

None of us can prove a "negative." But you are acting just like the mainstream media in that you are NOT asking the right question.
The question was never why did the Russians hack the DNC but not the RNC? That question is not (nor has it ever been) important. Instead, you should be asking
how did the IT people working for the DNC, allow their website and their data to be compromised by a foreign government? What the f is wrong with those people?
I am a Director and manage software developers. If my site gets hacked with SQL-injection attacks, the CIO will (rightfully) chew my ass and heads will roll. I'll be in the HR office and filing out termination paperwork for my incompetent software developers. Then I'll hire some temp security, have them escort me to their cubes, and watch these guys pack to make sure they can't further corrupt our network, leave us vulnerable. What I am not going to do is cry to the media (the way the DNC did), jump up and down, throw a tantrum like a 3 year old, blame everyone BUT myself, and tell the whole world that someone hacked my site and someone has to DO SOMETHING about it!
And remember, the RNC was never "hacked."
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter ... blican-na/
Lets say that Trump is lying and the Russians never tried to hack their site. Again, you can't prove a "negative", can't prove that they tried and failed. That is irrelevant. Their IT people at the RNC did their job and prevented the site from being hacked from anyone. Why couldn't the DNC people do that?
I don't care who hacked the DNC servers and databases. I care that they "were" hacked. If you are the DNC and you want to ask a question and start an investigation, start by pointing the finger back at yourself and your own incompetence.

Classic victim-shaming, IB. DNC shoulda protected themselves. Same with Georgia, Crimea, the Baltics, and Ukraine I suppose. All those dead dissidents and journalists should've seen it coming...don't drink the tea, as it were.
That's your MO, isn't it. Rape and domestic violence isn't a thing because women are subordinate to men by God's grace. If it happened, they had it comin'.

No it is not the same thing. The Crimea is not at all "linked" to the security on web servers. Stop reframing.
Web security is exactly that, security. Hire competent software developers, give them clear requirements on security, and store your data appropriately. If you get hacked, in almost all cases, its your own fault. We have had people hacking systems for decades. We know what they are going to do. Protect yourself.

And you dare say to me, get some help? You are a sick man.
Rape is a thing. It is a serious thing, a life altering thing. Jackie was not raped at UVa. Crystal was not raped at Duke. Mattress girl was not raped at Columbia. That fat pig from "Girls" was not raped by anyone. There is no "rape culture" in college. And a husband can not possibly rape his wife. If you are woman, and you don't consent to having sex with your husband whenever he wants it,
never marry him. Its that simple. You have the power to say no, you say no when he proposes.

I'm not saying Putin is a good guy. He's a KGB thug who wishes ill for us. And yes, of course he hacked the DNC and tried to help Trump beat Hillary, just like a bad guy would do.
But the current hysterical mantra of "IT'S ALL RUSSIANS FAULT! IT'S ALL THE RUSSIANS FAULT!" is silly and getting old. (I guess it's a refreshing change from "IT'S ALL BUSH'S FAULT! IT'S ALL BUSH'S FAULT!" which lasted well into the second term of Obama, but I digress...)
It is clear that Putin's meddling in the US election had no affect on the outcome. Unless you want to argue that he somehow single-handedly managed to engineer a few hundred thousand blue collars in PA, WI and MI to vote for Trump. That would seem to ascribe supernatural powers to Komrade Velodya. And since Putin didn't influence the outcome, what, at this point, what does it matter?
And I am not desperate for Trump's longevity in office. I just hope he's around long enough to replace Scalia, Ginsberg and Kennedy with Scalia/Thomas clones. If he can do that, I'm happy.

He also bombed Syrian hospitals and since invaded pieces of countries that didn't belong to him. Also, anybody who crosses him gets sent to prison on bogus charges, or winds up getting polonium in their sandwich, or gunned down in front of the Kremlin.
Is that more nuanced?

You called it from the start, rat - Trump is surely due for an early exit. It's only a question of how he goes out - in cuffs, bagged with a toe tag, or running out the back to a getaway car/copter.

Nope. We've definitely got our own dirty laundry: slavery, Jim Crowe, what we did to the Indians, the Japanese internment camps, etc.
